Question from GoranNovak86 (07:52, 30 January 2026)

[edit]

Hello, I have created a draft article in my userspace about Hit Booker, a property management company in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The draft includes verifiable references from independent regional media and technology platforms. The article is intended to provide neutral, factual information about the company's history, operations, and media coverage. I would appreciate your review and guidance regarding notability, sourcing, and compliance with Wikipedia standards. Thank you. --GoranNovak86 (talk) 07:52, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Because the article is not written in English, it cannot be accepted as is on the English Wikipedia; and from what I can tell from a machine translation of your draft to English, it is promotional in tone with an undue focus on media coverage. Also, if you work for or are otherwise professionally connected to Hit Booker, you must declare your conflict of interest and avoid directly making contributions related to the company (see WP:COI for more information about the policy). randFreeman 08:15, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Dear randFreeman,
Thank you for your feedback. I understand your concerns. The article was originally written in our local language because most of the sources, as well as the target audience, are from our region. However, I would like to emphasize that the text is not intended to be promotional in any way, nor does it include any marketing content. Its purpose is purely informative and based on verifiable references about the subject.
If necessary, I can translate or adapt the article into English in accordance with Wikipedia's guidelines to ensure it meets the required standards. Please let me know if you have any specific suggestions or adjustments that could help improve it further.
Kind regards, GoranNovak86 (talk) 08:44, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you should translate the draft into English. You have already submitted the draft for review, so a reviewer will get to your article shortly and either accept, decline or reject it.
P.S. Are you using AI to write your comments? Even if English is not your first language or you are not confident in your English skills, it is always better to write your comments yourself. randFreeman 09:20, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Dear randFreeman,
I have translated the article into English. Could you please review whether the content is appropriate and complies with Wikipedia’s guidelines?
If any additional improvements or information are required, I am at your disposal.
Kind regards, GoranNovak86 (talk) 09:28, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I find an issue with the sourcing in that most of the sources cited are routine coverage (i.e. listings), press releases (which are usually commissioned by the subject) and brief mentions. For something to be notable at least some of the sources discussing it must be all three of these:
  1. independent (the subject and anyone affiliated with it must not have been involved in the source's creation at all, in any way)
  2. reliable and
  3. secondary (relays or discusses information stated in primary sources)
Additionally the sources should, ideally, have enough unique information about Hit Booker specifically for you to be able to write a cohesive article on it. See WP:GNG and WP:SIGCOV for more information regarding this. If you can find regular news articles and analyses about Hit Booker, it may be notable. If not, it is probably not notable enough to have a Wikipedia article, but it is not a bad thing to not be notable. Also, since you appear to be the owner of Hit Booker, please declare your conflict of interest by putting the template {{AFC comment|1=}}, with a statement immediately after the 1= explaining that you have a conflict of interest, on top of the draft. randFreeman 15:04, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your feedback.
I have now added the conflict of interest declaration at the top of the draft using the following template, as requested:
  • Comment: I am the owner of Hit Booker and I am submitting this draft with a declared conflict of interest.
I would appreciate it if you could please confirm that this part is now in order.
Regarding the sourcing, the links I provided are from independent media and third-party platforms that have written about our work and operations, including customer stories and industry-focused publications. These sources were not commissioned by us, and we had no editorial control over their content. Some of them discuss Hit Booker as a relevant subject within the short-term rental and property management sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
https://hello.pricelabs.co/customer-story/automated-short-term-rental-operation-pricelabs-rentlio/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=linkedin&utm_campaign=cs_pricelabs_and_rentlio
https://manager.ba/klub-managera/siguran-prihod-od-va%C5%A1ih-nekretnina
https://rentl.io/en/customers/mostar-property-management
My intention with this draft is not promotional. I have deliberately avoided including marketing language, performance figures, or commercial details about the agency. The goal is simply to document Hit Booker’s role and relevance within this industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where we have been active for many years and contribute through operational work as well as educational and informational content for property owners and professionals in this sector.
If the current sources are still insufficient under Wikipedia’s notability guidelines, I would sincerely appreciate any guidance on what type of coverage or improvements would be required to make the draft acceptable. I am happy to adjust the article accordingly and follow best practices.
If helpful, you are also welcome to review our official website (www.hit-booker.com) to better understand the nature of our work and our focus on contributing to the development of this sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Thank you for your time and assistance. GoranNovak86 (talk) 15:35, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
The three sources you listed are still questionable. I do not see any indicators that any of the sources have had editorial oversight, which precludes them from being reliable, and all of them are advertisements of businesses connected to Hit Booker, which precludes them from being independent. randFreeman 20:28, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the clarification.
I would like to explain that the previously mentioned articles were published by professional industry platforms and software providers focused on short-term rental and property management. These platforms do not offer paid advertising or sponsored blog posts of this type, and none of the content was commissioned, requested, or paid for by us. The articles were written independently by their editorial teams based on their own assessment of our operations and use cases.
That said, I understand your concerns and would like to ask for your opinion regarding the following additional sources:
https://hercegovina.in/kako-moderan-privatni-smjestaj-mijenja-iskustvo-putovanja-u-hercegovini/
https://furaj.ba/rast-trzista-privatnog-smjestaja-i-analiza-zarade-iznajmljivaca-u-bosni-i-hercegovini/
https://www.akta.ba/vijesti/bih/200748/globalni-turisticki-trendovi-otkrivaju-novu-priliku-stranci-traze-ono-sto-bih-vec-ima
These are independent regional media outlets in Bosnia and Herzegovina that regularly cover tourism, business, and economic topics and have editorial oversight. They are not affiliated with Hit Booker, and we have no control over their editorial content. In these articles, Hit Booker is mentioned as a relevant subject within the context of the private accommodation and tourism sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
I am genuinely trying to understand what level and type of evidence would be considered sufficient under Wikipedia’s notability guidelines. At this point, I am unsure what stronger or more appropriate sources I could reasonably provide.
If these sources are still insufficient, I would sincerely appreciate any concrete guidance on what kind of coverage would be required for the topic to meet Wikipedia’s standards. I am willing to follow your advice and adjust or pause the draft accordingly.
Thank you for your time and assistance. GoranNovak86 (talk) 21:39, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Since I do not know Bosnian (nor have any clue about the media culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and cannot fairly assess the tone or context of the sources, I will take your word on them. I ran them through a translator and the second and third sources appear usable. ? 02:23, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much. If anything further is required, please feel free to let me know — I am more than happy to provide it in order to confirm my good faith and transparency.
My goal is to clearly demonstrate that Hit Booker is a recognized brand and a market leader in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the private accommodation rental segment, as well as a reliable source of informative and educational content for readers across Bosnia and Herzegovina. Question from Meta34552 (09:44, 30 January 2026)

[edit]

my draft sachin lokapure rejected and some mad editor showing ego what do do that editor and article --Meta34552 (talk) 09:44, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

They are in the right. The article was rejected because
  1. Sachin Lokapure is decidedly not notable enough for a Wikipedia article and
  2. you clearly generated the article with AI.

Hello, if I am using a crystal in a cheep RC car that's marked 16.000MHZ would I need this same 16.000MHZ crystal in my controller for it to work the car? --Robbie Dean Whitt (talk) 12:41, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Wikipedia mentors are equipped to answer questions about how Wikipedia, specifically, works. I have little experience with RC cars and do not know the answer to your question. Instead you can consult the relevant reference desk at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Science. randFreeman 14:40, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Thalassa Cruso (22:34, 2 February 2026)

[edit]

Greetings Rand, I just noticed that an entry I edited now has a maintenance template at the top, but I've no idea what the problems are in the text that it's referring to and how to fix them. I'm very new at this, and did not write the original entry, I only edited it for greater clarity and added further source material and footnotes. Could you kindly advise me as to what material in the entry specifically is problematic or how to determine what there is that requires further citation or fixing? Many thanks for your help. --Thalassa Cruso (talk) 22:34, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Gnomingstuff tagged the page because they suspect that content added to it was generated by an LLM (large language model, but you are probably more familiar with the term AI). The essay they linked in the template reason, WP:AISIGNS, lists signs that a piece of text may have been LLM-generated, but most of these signs are not 100% indicators and false positives do occur. The signs Gnomingstuff named in this case were a promotional tone, an undue emphasis on notability and a vocabulary typical of LLMs. I looked at the history of the page in question, and I do not think that you alone are the reason the tag was added, because content was also added by a previous editor that fits AISIGNS. To fix the issue you can replace words that seem promotional/like puffery with neutral descriptions (see WP:WTW and WP:Writing better articles for more information). ? 22:51, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much for your rapid response.I didn't use AI when editing or adding information to this entry. In fact, I tried to add a list of the person's awards and fellowships, which were removed as they weren't documented. Graduate and professional museum awards such as those I listed aren't generally published as such - in fact I was only able to 'document' one, a fellowship at the Metropolitan Museum, which I found in their annual report. But only listing one fellowship among the many awarded seemed odd, so I didn't reinsert that. I could certainly tone down phrases such as 'significant' and 'critically acclaimed' (which I didn't write, but which are supported by the reviews in the footnotes.I will review the entire entry this evening and replace such language with more 'neutral' descriptors. My thanks again for your help. Thalassa Cruso (talk) 23:10, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Thalassa Cruso (20:00, 3 February 2026)

[edit]

I've now made a number of edits & deletions to the entry on museum curator Ronni Baer. Now that the language has been neutralized, how does the maintenance template get removed? I'm assuming that's up to someone at Wikipedia? Thanks again for your help. --Thalassa Cruso (talk) 20:00, 3 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

An editor can remove a maintenance template if s/he is certain that the problem described in the template has been wholly eliminated. I have edited the article further to rewrite/delete the remaining AI-like phrasing and removed the tag. ? 20:31, 3 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings Rand - I just made a number of changes and additions to the entry on Ronni Baer. Because you are not autoconfirmed, and because you have a conflict of interest with Nupat Technologies (which I presume will be your article's subject), you must go through the Articles for Creation process, whose instructions are detailed at the page linked at Wikipedia:Articles for creation#Creating an article. [edit]

Hi, Since you are the main mentor, could you please check what is happening with the Hit-Booker website publication and let me know if there is anything else I need to do on my side? I would really appreciate your feedback. Best regards, Goran --GoranNovak86 (talk) 11:00, 25 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The reason your draft was declined was that it is not written in an encyclopaedic tone i.e. it is more similar to an advertisement or a listing than to an article. I have no experience in articles for creation, but if you need help with this you can ask reviewers a question at the Articles for Creation help desk.
