Grand Prix
Hi, I'll let you get on with it. If you look at the next race, I've already inserted a table in, with all the details that won't change. Should be an easy cut & paste job to rearrange them all as qualifying goes on. If you think this is useful, feel free to add to other articles ready for use. :-) Mjroots (talk) 10:54, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- Another tip for you, use the {{inuse-section}} template ( type {{inuse-section}} ) to let others know you are editing the section. Mjroots (talk) 11:06, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Post-qualifying weights
I've removed the weights column from the couple of articles which you added it. In an earlier discussion at the F1 WikiProject, it was decided not to add raw weight data to qualifying tables. LeaveSleaves 05:37, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
2010 F1 teams
Sorry, I started editing the teams and drivers chart before you added the template telling me not to edit this section. Sorry if this messes you about. Petera93 (talk) 10:19, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Cheers, I just didn't want you to get annoyed thinking that I'd ignored your warning - Petera93 (talk) 10:33, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- I think it should be Campos Grand Prix in the table because that's what the entry list said. We can change it when we hear otherwise. Petera93 (talk) 10:43, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- I still don't agree I'm afraid because this article is a couple of weeks old now and things move quickly in F1 so it could well have changed. I've raised the issue at Talk:2010 Formula One season. We'll see what people think. Petera93 (talk) 11:11, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
Massa
Where are you seeing replays of the accident? Bretonbanquet (talk) 13:04, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks - much obliged :) Bretonbanquet (talk) 13:08, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
Hi again - we should use "DNS" for Massa in Hungary because it accurately describes his result. The reason why he DNSed is beyond the scope of the tables. Also, that's how we list drivers who have been injured in qualifying right throughout all the other articles. Bretonbanquet (talk) 23:43, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
2009 European Grand Prix
Would it be ok if i did the race table?? thanks --Troggy3112 (talk) 10:47, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Cheers, I actually did the Hungarian GP Race Table and I just fancied doing it again. Thanks again --Troggy3112 (talk) 12:37, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
No problem
No worries, it was mainly just how it looked. It seemed a little aggressive and out of place ;) Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:44, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Raikkonen
Cannot win the championship, as even if he wins all four remaining races and the others don't pass Button, he would only have 5 wins against Button's 6, therefore placing second. Mjroots (talk) 07:24, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- I may be wrong, but that's the situation as I understand it. Mjroots (talk) 07:31, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
Suzuka '09
Yeah, I understand that, but the thing is, some of those have raced there. Sutil raced there in Japanese F3, Nakajima has surely raced there in the past, just not in F1. So can we call that inexperience? Bretonbanquet (talk) 18:00, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
Record
I don't know why, but why did you add tjis in the 2009 Brazilian Grand Prix Jenson Button was the only driver to use one chassis over the course of the season (most drivers change chassis several times), having driven it in every practice and qualifying session and race. This means that he won the World Championship in the oldest car on the grid. Please, the season is not over yet. Aquadeias 10:24, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Senna and Campos
There was a clear difference. In the Senna article, it was clearly stated that there was speculation that he would sign for Campos, with a back-up source saying exactly that. Putting him in a list of drivers for 2010 is entirely different because that list is for confirmed information. When you put the info in the separate section on the 2010 page saying that it was speculation, that was fine. Had I been awake, I'd have reverted you again because it's absolutely fine to add speculation if it's clearly stated that that's what it is. As it turns out, it's now confirmed, but it's important to note the very clear difference between my edit on the Senna page, and adding his name to a list of confirmed drivers. Bretonbanquet (talk) 13:06, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- It isn't really a fine line - adding speculation is generally frowned upon unless you make it very clear that's what it is. Then it's only OK providing it's not an editor's own speculation - in this case it was Autosport's speculation and it was very clearly sourced as such. Adding that kind of thing is fine. Synthesising that Autosport speculation to squeeze Senna into a list of confirmed drivers is not OK, and clearly completely different. I'm hardly likely to be one of the top reverters of unsourced speculation only to add some of my own, am I? Bretonbanquet (talk) 13:26, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Campos Grand Prix or Campos Meta?
By the way, you could add your support of the requested move by adding your opinion here. Darth Newdar talk 19:55, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
2010 F1 season
I've noted the warning. I've also redone the edit note on the article. Suggest future additions of OR are reverted as vandalism and warnings issued accordingly, starting at lvl3 as the edit note is clear enough. You know where to find WP:AIV. Mjroots (talk) 11:21, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- The vandal has been indeffed. Couldn't do it myself as I felt I was involved too much per my note on the article's talk page. Mjroots (talk) 17:59, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- Is this a reliable source for Fitton / March? Mjroots (talk) 09:25, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
Mercedes GP
I see you added Button and Rosberg as confirmed drivers of the new Mercedes GP for 2010. I'm not so good at translating German, is that what the articles says? This BBC article says "Nico Rosberg will be their lead driver, with Nick Heidfeld his likely partner." But "neither driver has yet been confirmed". Schumi555 11:49, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
- Okay thanks for the translation. Schumi555 11:59, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
- Autosport say Mercedes are to hold a press conference today, maybe things will become a little clearer then. Schumi555 12:02, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
How can you complain about me stating reliably sourced speculation (stating that it was 'expected', not confirmed) when you were the one putting the team and drivers in the table (for confirmed information) before an annoucement had even been made? You keep threatening that you'll report people of vandalism for just sneezing on the F1 table without confirmed information, yet you broke your own rules here. - mspete93 [talk] 13:41, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
2010 Numbers
Did you say that the numbers will be confirmed in the next 48 hours by the FIA? And Hamilton will be Mclaren lead driver but have car 2. Plus I know that Petrov has been confirmed at Campos because I am a friend. Trust me. I just cant find anything on the internet. Same as i also know that the driver Lotus have signed os Heikki Kovalainen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bradley1314 (talk • contribs) 14:03, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Officially Mr X
I've had a look at OMXs contribs and don't see anything really disruptive. The source he used for Trulli appears to meet WP:RS. I've opened up a thread at Talk:2010 Formula One season#Sources? for editors to reach consensus on what sources should be used for drivers. Your input is welcome.
