[edit] Hello, I'm ChildrenWillListen. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Buzz Bee Toys have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. 🧙♀️ Children Will Listen (🐄 talk, 🫘 contribs) 21:30, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @ChildrenWillListen – thank you for the note. I understand and appreciate the importance of maintaining neutrality on Wikipedia. Please know that it was not my intention to promote or advertise. My goal is to present factual, verifiable information about the company in an encyclopedic tone, and I’m doing my best to follow Wikipedia’s guidelines.
- If there are specific phrases or sections that came across as promotional, I’m more than happy to revise or remove them. I welcome any suggestions you have to help align the article better with Wikipedia’s standards.
- Thanks again for your time and guidance. PlayPatternEditor (talk) 21:38, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello PlayPatternEditor. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Buzz Bee Toys, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:PlayPatternEditor. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=PlayPatternEditor|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 🧙♀️ Children Will Listen (🐄 talk, 🫘 contribs) 21:30, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the message. I can confirm that I am not being directly or indirectly compensated for my contributions to this page. I am affiliated with the company, and my intent is to improve the accuracy and completeness of the article. I welcome review of the information presented and would appreciate it if you could let me know if there are any specific concerns or inaccuracies so I can correct them.
- I will wait for your response before making any further edits. PlayPatternEditor (talk) 21:36, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Please read WP:COI and refrain from editing the article directly. 🧙♀️ Children Will Listen (🐄 talk, 🫘 contribs) 21:39, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Also, I’ve used a few other toy company pages—such as Moose Toys—as examples to help improve the structure and tone of the Buzz Bee Toys article. My intent was to align with the style and neutrality seen in similar entries. That said, I understand that each page is reviewed individually, and I completely respect the need for consistent standards. Please let me know if Moose Toys or similar pages are not considered appropriate models, and I’ll gladly make revisions accordingly.
- Thanks again for your guidance. PlayPatternEditor (talk) 21:40, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
