Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Patgerman2025. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Human–computer interaction, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 08:32, 9 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Belbury,
Thank you for your message and for pointing this out. I understand the importance of maintaining neutrality and transparency in all contributions.
To clarify: I am the author of the Universal Logos Handbook, which I cited as a verifiable source for a small addition to the Human–computer interaction and Agent Communication Language pages. My intention was not to promote the project but to provide a factual and properly referenced mention in the context of current AI communication frameworks.
I appreciate the reminder regarding conflict-of-interest (COI) guidelines and will fully comply with them going forward. Specifically, I will:
-refrain from making direct edits to related articles,
-use the article Talk pages or the Edit Request Wizard for proposed changes, and
-disclose any relevant connection whenever I discuss or suggest edits to these topics.
I value Wikipedia’s neutrality and community standards and will make sure all future contributions follow those policies.
Best regards,
