The.xdff Exchange Digital File Format was created by the owner of OriginCXT a division of OriginCorp. located in Boulder, Colorado, by owner Jeromy Hess. It is designed to facilitate safe, certified file exchange worldwide, over networks, such as the internet. The .xdff file format is a file type, that is engineered to exchange data, especially electronic legal tender of currency, between individuals and businesses, as well as between governments and banks.

Funds are generally transferred through ATM wire transfer or through online banks, such as PayPal. The .xdff file format allows the owner of a certified file to transfer the original file to another recipient through certified software, guaranteeing that the file is transferred safely. Other types of important documents may be transferred using the .xdff standard. These files maintain the same level of protection currency does. Files are created in the .xdff file format through OriginCXT File Creation Servers for a fee.
