Notification of Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Macedonia

[edit]

This message is to notify you of the Arbitration Committee's ruling regarding editing of articles relating to the Balkans (broadly interpreted). Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Macedonia (hereafter WP:ARBMAC) states "Any uninvolved administrator may, on their own discretion, impose sanctions on any editor working in the area of conflict if that editor fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, the expected standards of behavior, or the normal editorial process. The sanctions imposed may include blocks of up to one year in length; bans from editing any page or set of pages within the area of conflict; restrictions on reverts; or any other measures which the imposing administrator believes are reasonably necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the project. Prior to any sanctions being imposed, the editor in question shall be given a warning with a link to this decision." (from WP:ARBMAC#Discretionary sanctions).

Along with other editors, you have been edit-warring on Ustaše by continually removing sourced content regarding Albert Einstein. This is in clear contravention of Wikipedia's editing policies, which recommend that content disputes are discussed on the article talk-page rather than fought out on the article itself. Although you have been posting to the talk-page, simultaneously edit-warring on the article is unacceptable. As you have now been notified of WP:ARBMAC, continued disruptive editing will result in sanctions on this account in line with the ArbCom ruling above. To help you move forward with the talk-page discussion, perhaps you might find some of the ideas at dispute resolution helpful. EyeSerenetalk 13:58, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
