If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on डॉ. दिनेश्वर प्रसाद, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. It would appear to me the first problem with that article was that it was in Hindi, and this is the English language Wikipedia

[edit]

@Nirendra.nagar, CycloneYoris, and Randykitty: first problem to overcome if you wish to create an article on the English language Wikipedia - the one that you are looking at right now - is that articles need to be in English. From what I can see, Dr Prasad (born 1932 - died 2012) was an eminent Indian scholar, was associated with Camille Bulcke, and was quite possibly a Mahapandit Rahul Sankrityayan Award recipient and so on. Sure, you can re-create the article - and written in in your words, not just slabs of text in Hindi quite obviously copied from other places on the internet - with appropriate attribution. Plenty of people here on en.wp are native speakers of Hindi or can read Hindi well - ask them for assistance! Short version: Add references from reliable sources, and write it in English. Hi, I want to put it in the Hindi Wikipedia and not the English one as Late Dr Dineshwar Prasad's contributions are related to Hindi. What should i do for that? Kindly guide. Nirendra.nagar (talk) 10:13, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies if I have mislead you in any way here. I can't speak a word of Hindi (umm, but yep, I do know that the "Mahapandit" in "Mahapandit Rahul Sankrityayan Award" means "great pandit" with "maha" a cognate of English "major" and Greek Mega-) As for what's going on hi.wp, I can't assist you. That said, please do let me know if I can assist you in any way with the English language Wikipedia. Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 11:24, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I have created a page on Hindi Wikipedia. Nirendra.nagar (talk) 08:09, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
