Your submission at Articles for creation: John Hook (November 12)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by SwisterTwister was:
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Wikipedia requires significant coverage about the subject in reliable sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of people and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Wikipedia at this time.
The comment the reviewer left was:
The Emmy is only a state Emmy thus not convincing for a notable article here, although the Hall of Fame could be convincing, the article itself is still not what a notable article would need, this is currently still too questionable.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by DGG was:
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability.  The comment the reviewer left was:
There continues to be no evidence that he is notable. Unless you have much better references providing substantial coverage from third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements, there will be no point in resubmittting
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

There is one other problem: There is already an article John Hook. If it is true the other John Hook is more notable than this one, this article would have to be called John Hook (journalist) or something similar. Then there would be a hatnote on John Hook. Also, this John Hook could be the more notable one, and the other one would have to be moved to John Hook (cricketer). I am aware of another John Hook but don't know whether his notability can be established. That would require a disambiguation page which might be called John Hook or John Hook (disambiguation).— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:11, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
