2020 Pacific typhoon season

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you manually reverted my previous edit which changed "People's Republic of China" (a redirect to China) to "China". I did this because having the "People's Republic" part is already excessive since majority of the modern world simply refer to the PRC as "China". Since having it as simply "China" makes the article less confusing, and since it avoids having to pass through a redirect, I've returned the edit that you reverted. If you wish to contest my decision, please do so on the article talk page, since we have guidelines on triple reverts.

I also noticed that you haven't been placing edit summaries on your edits. Edit summaries are a great way to help us learn the context and intent of your edit, so please put them in as much as possible. Thanks!

Hello! I'm popping in again on your talk page since I reverted an edit that you made on the 2020 Pacific typhoon season (see here). PAGASA has not issued any warnings about the system yet, and has not even issued a weather advisory regarding the system. I've reverted your edits for now since they don't seem to have any basis, and you didn't even add a reliable source to back up your edit.

Again, I'd also like to reiterate that you should really put edit summaries on your edits, so we can learn more about your edit. I see. I couldn't find anything on their weather advisory page nor was their an existing severe weather bulletin. Forecasts on season articles

I've probably been taking too many trips to your talk page, but it seems like you haven't been reading the edit summaries, so I'll make it clear here. Unless an event is notable and bound to happen, future information should not be added to Wikipedia. Forecasts definitely fit in the zone of "futuer information". We're well aware that the PAGASA TCA says that Goni will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility, however this isn't a notable event as it's just a tropical cyclone entering a certain area. The reason why this is added in the season articles is because it already happened, which means we're no longer predicting the future, but simply citing an event that had occurred. Remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and that although article content dealing with past and current events are allowed, events in the future are usually left out.

And please, add citations. "The JTWC said" or "PAGASA said" is not a valid citation. We need actual verifiable references if you don't want your content to get removed. Chlod (say hi!) 03:23, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

June 2021

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Tropical Storm Choi-wan (2021). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. This was solved by CSD via A10 on the mainspace article you created and moving the draft to mainspace. Please refrain from copying drafts to mainspace while the draft is being actively developed. @Beraniladri19: The link points to a post by the official Facebook page of ABS-CBN News. In this scenario, we rely on the reliability of ABS-CBN rather than Facebook as a whole. It's marked as "generally unreliable" for a reason — breaking news and other information are sometimes posted on social media by reliable sources (mostly due to its wider reach), of which the reliability depends on the creator of the post, not the platform. This is why some advisories are cited from the Twitter accounts of weather agencies: because additional context useful in an article is not provided on their official website, and is instead provided through social media. Continuous addition of unsourced content
