[edit] Hello, I'm Fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 15:55, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello MuslimTechBro. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:MuslimTechBro. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=MuslimTechBro|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 16:12, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- I also ask, would you explain the rationale behind this edit? Thank you. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 16:20, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hello. Thank you for reaching out. I am not receiving any compensation, direct or indirect, for my edits. I am editing voluntarily and have no financial affiliation related to the topics. Regarding the edit you mentioned, my rationale was to add verified election data and turnout insights sourced from Stears Open Data to improve the article's accuracy and reflect recent developments. I am happy to discuss or adjust if needed. Please do check out the website to corroborate my story.

- Do you possibly have any association with Stears, even unpaid? If so please view the WP:Conflict of Interest policy.
- Are you editing with the assistance of a Large Language Model? It reads as though some of your edits, and the above reply are generated with such a tool. If so please stop and read this essay: WP:LLM. Edits like this are disruptive and not improvements.
- If I am to be honest it really appears as though you are doing promotion for stears: your first edit is to stears' article to add info about their "open data"[1], you then begin adding refs to their "open data" even where such a ref doesn't support the in-article claim[2], or rewrite entire pages with the apparent purpose of including stears references[3][4]. This kind of editing is WP:DISRUPTIVE and does not help to build an encyclopedia. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 16:38, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
