Notability of Rebecca harris

[edit]

Australian jnr chess champion

A tag has been placed on Rebecca harris requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 12:31, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to move Rebecca harris to Rebecca Harris. Please edit the article at the proper capitalized name. Thanks, xenocidic (talk) 12:58, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting my edits to Rebecca Harris

[edit]

I am trying to imporve the article to save it from deletion. Please do not revert my changes, I am only trying to help. You cannot just take a picture from the Chessbase news page and add it to Wikipedia, only free images can be used in articles on living people.Pawnkingthree (talk) 09:24, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about the reverting, if you could possibly assist with preventing Rebecca's profile being deleted, that would be great! Thanks for your help.

Problems with upload of Image:Rebeccaharris01.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Rebeccaharris01.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:13, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:IMG 0537~.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:IMG 0537~.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:06, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your suggestions. As the photo was taken by myself on my digital camera, I have updated the tag accordingly. Mrsshocker7167 (talk) 10:32, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Beck2 edited.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 13:29, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nominating Rebecca Harris for deletion a 2nd time

[edit]

Hi. Judging by your page you're probably not going to like this, but I'm letting you know that I've re-nominated Rebecca Harris for deletion. Nothing against her, but I believe she doesn't meet notability crieria for Wikipedia. Peter Ballard (talk) 04:17, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
