David Moore (photographer)

[edit]

You may have noticed that I deleted your "David Moore [born 1961] British Photographer" entry from the disambiguation page for David Moore. The basic reason is based upon the function of disambiguation pages. You can get a quick feel for this by looking at Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts and in more detail at WP:Disamiguation. Simply stated, but not precise, if there is not a mention of a person, place or thing in Wikipedia, then there is no need for an entry on a disambiguation page. You may note that there is already a David Moore (photographer). If David Moore (b. 1961) meets Wikipedia guidelines for notability and you or someone choses to write an article about him, the title of that article will have to be aptly chosen, see Wikipedia:Article titles. David Moore (British photographer) might do or, if more correct, David Moore (English photographer). The Australian born in 1927 is so well known that he probably takes precedence as the primary topic at David Moore (photographer). I do note that David Moore (b. 1961) had a well-publicized show called "The Last Things". "The Last Things: Photographs by David Moore". I don't know if he meets the notability guidelines, but you could put that question at the talk page for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Images and Media/Photographers. Good luck on your endeavors! --Bejnar (talk) 00:58, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
