Userpage
[edit]Firstly, your userpage is not allowed to have redlinked categories that do not exist on it, because pages are not allowed to be filed in categories that don't exist to have pages filed in them. And even if you do want the page to be filed in categories that do exist, you're still only allowed to file your userpage in "Wikipedians" categories that are meant for userpages, and not in categories that would mix them with articles as reader-facing content.
Secondly, "Category:Template:User" is not a thing, so you cannot "create" it either because categories can never be "named" that way.
So the page is not allowed to have that category on it, and if you revert me again I'll be forced to lock it so that you can't edit it at all anymore. Bearcat (talk) 17:35, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
- Again, the use of redlinked categories that do not exist is strictly forbidden, and the category you're trying to use is not at a name that any category would ever have, because it's not how category names are formatted. So putting it into a category that doesn't exist is not a decision you're entitled to make for yourself, and you must follow the same rules as everybody else has to follow. Accordingly, as I already warned you that I would lock the page if you reverted the category back onto the page again, I've been left with no choice but to do exactly that. - @Bearcat You are a selfish and bully person Mojtaba rks (talk) 17:53, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
- You're repeatedly reverting a page back into a redlinked category that doesn't exist, and can't exist at the illogical nonsense naming format you gave it, even after being told that pages can't be filed in redlinked categories, and you think I'm the one being unreasonable and "selfish"? Wow. Bearcat (talk) 17:55, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
- You shut down my account page with cruelty and bullying, and this is a form of dictatorship. Mojtaba rks (talk) 17:56, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
- Wikipedia has rules. One of those rules is that pages cannot be filed in redlinked categories that don't exist to have pages filed in them — and another of those rules is that there are specific naming formats that our content has to follow, so you can't create or use categories at weird names that aren't consistent with those naming formats either. So you're not free to repeatedly revert your userpage back into a redlinked category that doesn't exist, at a nonsense naming format that can never exist — you have to follow the exact same rules as everybody else on here, because that's how things work. So removing the category isn't me being a "bully" or "selfish" or "cruel" or "dictatorial" at all, because it's simply that Wikipedia has rules that you're not following. - @Bearcat I sincerely apologize for the harsh words I used earlier. I appreciate you taking the time to clarify the rules for me. I will follow the guidelines moving forward. Thank you for your patience and explanation. Mojtaba rks (talk) 18:06, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
