Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:51, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I want to share/discuss information I learn and acquire while working in the field of logistics and logistics training, I mistakenly used the name of my self-employed site/business - rather than a neutral username. Could you please unlock this account? Thanks a lot

Decline reason:

We advise against people using their real names as a username, but you may if you wish. Wikipedia is not a place to merely share information- it is a place to summarize what independent reliable sources say about a topic. Please read WP:COI and tell us how you will contribute consistent with that policy, as well as any other topics you might edit about. 331dot (talk) 14:42, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your answer. MikeTask is not my real name.
I prepare logistics training material and to do so I follow and gather a lot of information pertaining to the fields of supply chain, logistics, transportation and trade compliance. I also take pictures in this field and already share some on Wikimedia or Pixbay under cc4 license - these pictures could help illustrate certain logistics related pages.
I would like to use some of the information I have acquired and review to edit existing wikipedia pages and complete them / or possibly create new topics. For example, I'm currently working on a module related to warehousing and when doing my research I often do come over wikipedia pages but also other credible / independent sources which contain additional information which could add value to the existing wikipedia pages. I do believe I would be in a COI situation as I would be relying on summarized research and external sources and not any of my own direct publications.
In short, I have a lot of experience in this field and do a lot of research and visual documentation to prepare training material and believe I could, when relevant, add to existing pages when I find they lack information I have uncovered during my research or work experience. I'm not saying my contributions will be essential or numerous but this current block prevents me from helping or contributing in any way possible.
I hope this clarifies and will encourage you to remove the block.
Kind regards, TrainLearnGrow (talk) 15:16, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For example, the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Motor_Freight_Classification could be edited to included references to sub-classes (density-based) or to FAK agreements (on this page or as a new one).
FAK - Freight All Kinds - "Freight All Kinds (FAK) refers to a consolidated cargo shipment where items of different classes (regardless of weight, bulk or value) are shipped in a single truckload and charged a single rate". [source - https://www.nafahq.org/frequently-asked-questions-on-freight-class/]
It is generally, an agreement between a shipper who delivers load combining products of various classes and an LTL carrier. Instead of figuring out the NMFC freight class for each shipment and transported packages, the carrier determines an average class for the cargo profile of this specific shipper, and this average class is used for all his shipments.
For example, if your commodities range from class 50 to 100, the carrier could offer a FAK class of 70, meaning all items would be rated using this class. This may result in saving for you and will ease calculation/control for all. Carriers closely monitor their existing FAK to make sure they remain viable, as freight mixes may change over time.
