Request reason:

By mistake and due to inadvertence, I have used two accounts. One in the name of ravi1962 and another in the name of Manblunder. Because of my mistake, I was blocked in the year 2009 due to vandalism (sock puppet). www.manblunder.com is my website, which is not commercial in nature and deals with Indian Scriptures. I therefore, I request you to unblock my Manblunder account. My mistake was not intentional and deliberate. The administrator (PMDrive1061) who blocked this account is now retired. Therefore, I now appeal to kindly unblock this account and oblige. RAVIManblunder

I'm generally in favor of giving people a second chance, especially after more than three years, but if unblocked; how do you plan to contribute? I ask because I noticed that your only edits on Wikipedia was to your own userpage, where you seemed to have drafted an unreferenced article linking to your own site. (edit conflict) Your only edits to Wikipedia - using either account - were attempts to promote your website. Given your clear conflict of interest and the unsuitable nature of the subject for inclusion, do you accept that you will not be permitted to create an article about manblunder.com, link to it or use it as a source in other articles if you are unblocked? For the same reason, the current username of this account is unacceptable under Wikipedia's username policy; if unblocked, you will need to request a change of username as your first action.

With that in mind, please let us know:

What areas of Wikipedia you intend to edit in the future.
What new username you would like to use.

I can edit Indian Scriptures. I have explained in detail about many of the prominent Indian Scriptures in my site. My intention is not to promote my site, but to popularize sacred Indian Scriptures. I also would like to use WP:Outlet- other websites.manblunder 04:34, 10 January 2013 (UTC)

If your intention is to popularise anything, your editing will not be welcomed on this site. In addition, if you add content similar to that on your website it will be removed as original research. As to using WP:OUTLET, you don't need to be unblocked for that - just visit the page, click the external links, and away you go. Yunshui 雲‍水 06:17, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Custom signature fix needed

Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. Changes to Wikipedia's software have made your current custom signature invalid.

The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error or obsolete HTML tags.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, you can fix your signature, or you can do nothing.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:

Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (Do not click the red "Restore all default settings" button, which will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:

Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
Click the Learn more button next to the error to learn how to fix the error.
Update your signature to fix the error.
Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.

Solution 3: Do nothing:

In accordance with a recent request for comment, all invalid signatures will be changed to the default, which looks like "Example (talk)", one month from now.
