  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.

The removal of the Sanskrit name is due to reference 12 being unreliable. The author, Sanjeev Sanyal, is not a historian nor is he related to the field of history in any capacity. He adheres to Hindutva, and there have been claims of widespread misinformation across digital and print media. They desire the whole world for themselves and wish to live exclusively amongst their own. They aim to maleficently demonstrate that Sanskrit was once the mother tongue spoken worldwide. The practice of distorting the truth and spreading falsehoods about one's own religion is something I have observed, and although I belong to the same religion, I am not a fundamentalist Hindu. They would even be content if they were the only ones on this Earth. You ought to recognize their malevolent schemes and permit the modification. 2409:4072:6201:BF07:C403:1371:11B1:508D (talk) 14:50, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
