The WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 demo is available through the Xbox Live Marketplace. It is 1.2 GB of memory to download. When you start the demo you will be only given the option to play Exhibition, one on one in a normal match or a hardcore match. When you choose the match you will be given the following characters and fighting styles: Randy Orton(Dirty/Showman) Bobby Lashley (Powerhouse/Technical) The Undertaker(Brawler/Powerhouse) Rey Mysterio(High Flyer/Showman).
You will be given the option to chose from the following arenas: ECW Arean Smackdown Arena Raw Arena
The game has changed from WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007. To run, you have hold the RB button (Right Bumper) and move with the LS (Left Stick) to run. You can now run for as long was you want. Note: When the superstar begins to slow downs, it signals that you have to stop (your choice) to rest. Another new feature taken off is the previous Regain Stamina with B. This time you have to take time off from action to regain stamina. Now that you the B button can't be used for regaining stamina, it is now used to Irish Whip the your opponent Note: Only Powerhouse superstars can do the hard Irish whip. Another new feature is the new submission move mini-game. When you are applying a submission move to the other opponent you must move the RS stick around in a somewhat 360 degree to hopefully get your opponent to submit. If you are recieveing the submission move instead, do the same of spinning around the RS stick before your opponent begins. If successful, your superstar will begin to break out of the grapple (with a more realistic animation).
The demo though, does not have everything from the actual game. Bobby Lashley's theme song is not the current song as previewed in the actual game. You can't do the conchairto with Randy Orton. When you get your momentum full the sound effect sounds as of WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 still, and not the real game.
