You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Metrication of British Transport. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Three different editors have now reverted your changes
- I'll second that. Please stop this slow-time edit war and wait for a consensus on the talk page. Feel free to continue the discussion there. Further instances of this edit warring will result in your account being blocked. The Rambling Man (talk) 07:48, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
What I see is a gang of bullies pushing their POV and reacting to balancing facts in a hostile and unhelpful way. If I am one side in the so-called war, who is on the other side, and why haven't they been similarly threatened with a blocking? It seems that this article has a predetermined direction and a loyal group of supporters of that direction who will muster if that direction is challenged - regardless of the evidence.
- What you see is entirely up to you. What is real is that a number of editors have pointed you in the direction of a number of policies and guidelines. If you have a real issue with this, please take it to WP:AN or some similar location where you can have your issues discussed by all of Wikipedia. Thanks! Hi Llibtrof! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Disruptive editing warning
[edit]Your persistence in adding the item about the road signs showing height above sea level is in my opinion disruptive editing. Please read Wikipedia:Disruptive editing and take notice that if you persist in adding this information in the manner that you have been doing in the past, I will be requesting action as per the Disruptive Editing page. I will also draw to your attention that User:The Rambling Man is an Administrator, so you are advised that you have already had a warning from an administrator. Martinvl (talk) 18:07, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
Having seen how you misrepresent the content of policies and how you are attempting to bully me, even applying frighteners (the powers of other editors which you you not yourself have), I have no respect for your opinion about what disruptive editing is. In fact, after reading the policy, it would appear that it is you who is being disruptive here in colluding to suppress valid content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Llibtrof (talk • contribs)
- Yes, as you've said already. So, if you'd like to take it further, WP:AN or WP:RFC would be appropriate locations to continue this "discussion" so we could engage other uninvolved editors. Let me know when you've started that discussion. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:17, 17 June 2013 (UTC)
