User talk:LinkTGF
Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.
Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

P.S. I like messages :-P
Articles Up For Deletion
[edit]The two articles you have created are currently listed for deletion. This place is not intended for self-promotion, it is meant to be an encyclopedic repository for knowledge. TheMonkofDestiny 21:44, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
- Also, while I am at it, familiarise yourself with what Wikipedia is not. TheMonkofDestiny 21:48, 31 July 2005 (UTC)

Blocking
[edit]In reply to your e-mail. It is probably that your have been blocked as someone else at your college has been vandalising, and the IP has been blocked. I can unblock the IP, but I don't know what it is. If you can supply me with it, either posting here, or by e-mail, I'll be happy to unblock you. --Doc ask? 08:52, 18 November 2005 (UTC)
- OK, I found a different way to unblock you without knowing your IP - you should be OK now. Can you contact me to conform that you can edit again? --Doc ask? 09:20, 18 November 2005 (UTC)
Request for an admin to unblock
[edit]I spoke to our system's admin here at the University of Evansville and the entire campus is on the same IP address and for security reasons they said they cannot do anything about it.
Our IP is 192.195.225.6
Is there any way to block the IP unless a user is signed in?
Thank you in advance, - adrian
- Sorry blocking the IP blocks everyone, we can't selectively unblock named users. The address you've given is blocked as an open proxy so won't be unblocked. --pgk(talk) 11:43, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
Non-free use disputed for Image:Killing Is My Business album cover.jpg
[edit]![]() |
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Killing Is My Business album cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:02, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Parlophone.jpg)
[edit] Thanks for uploading Image:Parlophone.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:29, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
