Hi SXT4, Thanks a ton —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lib Democrat (talkcontribs).
Not a problem! Hey, in case you didn't know, putting a space before your message, is what put it in that box. :) Also, it's generally the practice here, to sign comments you make to talk pages (even your own... It does take some getting used to, however!) with 4 tildes (looks like this... ~~~~), just toss those guys after your message, and, you'll get the nick / timestamp etc! You can also customize your sig, to make it look neat, like mine... There's more info on that here. Anyhow, if I can help you with anything, don't hesitate to ask at My talk page or, here... I'll have this page on my watchlist for about a week... --SXT4 12:16, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia policies

[edit]

Please read WP:EW, a page which outlines policy that must be followed. Your behaviour on the Frontline (magazine) article is unacceptable. IF you disagree with edits, use the talk page to discuss why your edits are better than other people's. If that does not work, follow the rules on WP:DR. If you continue to war like this, I will request that you be blocked and the page re-protected.Hornplease 10:51, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The issue has been raised with the adminstrator by V.R Srini, Its not about War its about some one 's view getting turned down totally. We wont appreciate some one taking side to come as a mediator.Discussion has been done to include certain points substantaited , which was turned down . I suggest you first go through the concerns raised before issuing a Threat on behalf of some one as seen here fro 17 aug

Mediation is not necessary as long as you follow all the procedures outlined in WP:NPOV and WP:RS, especially the part about undue weight and partisan sources. Please explain on the article talkpage how your edits satisfy those rules before you attempt to make them. Hornplease 13:17, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
procedures outlined in WP:NPOV and WP:RS are not followed in any part of the article, for a long time it was marked as an "Advertisement". The criticism raised was discussed and they were substantiated , even if it was from HVK material was outlined in the The Telegraph. For sometime you may be able to preserve it by blocking one user or preventing edit but not for ever. The Original sources provided in the whole article are from the magazine itself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lib Democrat (talkcontribs) 08:25, 24 Aug 2007
If in the past those procedures were not followed, I assure you they will be adhered to more closely now. I see the article mirrored on HVK is written by Ramachandra Guha. I rather think that he talks about N. Ram and Nikhil Chakravartty of Mainstream rather than Frontline. Perhaps you had better try and find the original citation in the Telegraph and then add it to the N. Ram page. Let me know if you have trouble, as it seems relevant, sourced criticism to that page.Hornplease 11:53, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hornplease, WP:EW is a guideline, not a policy. However, I agree, that the edit war at Frontline (magazine) needs to stop. I'd like to ask, that you not threaten to have this user blocked, it's simply not productive, and, isn't terribly civil. I agree, as well, that all parties need to stop warring, and, discuss the matter civilly on the talk page, which, is exactly what I've advised this user to do, on my talkpage. I know absolutely nothing about the subject of the article, and, I'm not going to get involved in the content side of the dispute, by the way. I'm just hoping that everyone will take a step back, a deep breath, and, work towards an article that all parties can agree on, instead of pointlessly pulling the article back and forth. --SXT4 06:25, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
