Mahara (surname)

[edit]

In these edit, you copy-pasted most of the content from Mehra without attribution, which is not correct – see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Also, the cited sources don't seem to mention Mara or Mahara. So I have reverted your changes. If you have any query, you can mention it at Talk:Mahara (surname). - NitinMlk (talk) 19:16, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So, you don't know about Mahara and origination of Mehra from Mahara in Kumaon Division in Uttarakhand.

And, two places I mentioned where Mahara people still lives have been removed by you. Kalu Singh Mahara was from Bisung, and I am from Ezra where we were moved from Bisung years ago. So, these two places I know, where the people with surname Mahara still lives. You could have added more such places instead you chose to remove those two places. You need to provide a WP:Reliable source for the details you want to add at Mahara (surname). In fact, in this case, you will be required to provide a scholarly source (see WP:HISTRS) because it involves details related to a caste group. - NitinMlk (talk) 15:15, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
