ECDC and COI
[edit]Thanks for adding links to factsheets on these conditions - good catch. I have though some concerns that your edit history implies that you may be associated with the EDCD (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/4/b37/179 atates "Information officer at European Agency for Disease Prevention and Control"). If so, then please read WP:Conflict of interest guidelines and get back to me if you need help over any of the issues and options of how you should proceed. That said, the factsheets seem notable and authorative.
Adding links to the ECDC can be a bit messy (you've tried a couple of styles I see). To simplify things, I've created a template {{ECDC}} to generate suitable markup.
- Hence:
{{ECDC|Ebola_Marburg_fevers/Index.html|Ebola and Marburg haemorrhagic fever|10 July 2008}}
- Gives: Ebola and Marburg haemorrhagic fever (10 July 2008) factsheet from European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to ESCAIDE, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. - it needs sources to verify (ideally secondary 3rd party sources and not just from the organisation's own website. Without suitable sources, I'm not sure that as a conference it is per se WP:Notable (and so is at risk of being nominated for deletion) - I'll accept the ECDC is notable, but that does not necessarily mean it's annual meeting is :-) Please can you add some references (ask if you need help with the markup for adding references or WP:footnotes) David Ruben Talk 02:34, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- I saw your problem at Tuberculosis when the ECDC site added a language designation to its health topic pages. Solution is to adjust the {{ECDC}} template itself as per this edit. I have reverted back you change at Tuberculosis, and on a quick check, other ECDC links now continue to work as previously :-) David Ruben Talk 00:02, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- Oops spoke too soon, introduction pages now just disease name and factsheet pages now names "factsheet" rather than "facts" and with .aspx vs .html - I've gone throuhg and corrected existing pages using the links.David Ruben Talk 00:14, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article ESCAIDE is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ESCAIDE until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Boleyn (talk) 21:57, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
