Welcome Infoupdates36!
I'm Walter Görlitz, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will try to help.
There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

|
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the
button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.

[edit]
Your recent editing history at Signature Bank shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. ∰Bellezzasolo✡ Discuss 15:54, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
@Bellezzasolo: Thanks for the heads up. It seems a handful of users were simply reverting any change that was made by me, regardless of the page it was it was on. Now that the page has been locked, what's the process for getting an Extended-confirmed-protected edit reviewed? Do we just place it on the article's talk page, or do we need to flag an admin somehow? Infoupdates36 (talk) 18:19, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
- By making the edit request, you flag the attention of reviewers - if you want to look behind the curtain, it's here - User:AnomieBOT/EPERTable. Somebody watching this page will review the edit. ∰Bellezzasolo✡ Discuss 21:10, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]
Hello, Infoupdates36. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Signature Bank, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. — Newslinger talk 12:46, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
With this edit at Hilb Group you wrote "Its offerings include commercial and personal P&C brokerage, employee benefits consulting, and retirement/HR advisory services." To support your edit, you cited this source. Perhaps I missed it, but where does it say the company provides "HR advisory services"? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 15:29, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you! That was a mistake on my part - the source for that should have just been their website, I believe. I've updated it. Infoupdates36 (talk) 15:43, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
- The COI issue in regards to Signature Bank? That was years ago and as I said at that time, there was no COI. I'm not sure what sort of response you're looking for?
- I'm also not sure why you think AI is being used. Can you provide an example? Infoupdates36 (talk) 17:15, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
- Two things. You still have not responded to the conflict of interest message above, and you appear to be using AI to write text. Please respond. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk)
- Could you please tell me which source states "HR advisory services". Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 17:49, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
- 7 - https://www.hilbgroup.com/. The 'products' menu has it listed. Infoupdates36 (talk) 19:50, 16 September 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Hilb Group (September 25)
[edit]
- Promotional tone, editorializing and other words to watch
- Vague, generic, and speculative statements extrapolated from similar subjects
- Essay-like writing
- Hallucinations (plausible-sounding, but false information) and non-existent references
- Close paraphrasing
- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Hilb Group and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, or have experienced any untoward behavior associated with this submission, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- @Pythoncoder I didn't use any LLMs here - can you tell me what it is about my writing that's causing concern? Even after reading your description I'm not seeing it, but I'd be happy to revise further! Infoupdates36 (talk) 13:39, 25 September 2025 (UTC)

- This is the part that I'm having trouble with - it's being flagged for AI usage but I didn't use AI to write it. Infoupdates36 (talk) 16:46, 10 October 2025 (UTC)
