Hello Diannaa, and thanks for flagging this for me. In my edits to this article I did copy-paste a two sentence quotation from a news article about the Executive Director of the State Humane Association of California where he stated his rationale for filing the complaint with the CA Attorney General. I was under the impression that this was allowable under the guidelines from Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources. I am happy to remove the quote if you believe it to be a violation of Wikipedia's rules. HannoC (talk) 01:39, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reviewing my draft article, I just saw your feedback and had a question about the flag on social media sources.
WP:SOCIALMEDIA says that "self-published sources may be used as sources of information about themselves." I have attempted to follow this rule with the social media sources cited here.
The Twitter/X citation (which mentions the article subject's birthday) is used in conjunction with an article establishing her age in 2023. Taken together, I believe they sufficiently establish her date/year of birth.
The LinkedIn citation is solely used to establish her educational background.
The first TikTok citation links to her first TikTok video and is used to establish the start of her presence on the platform. The second is used to support her use of TikTok to advocate for HB 2404, and the video is of her saying she supports HB 2404.
I believe these are ok under WP:SOCIALMEDIA, but would love advice on how to better use these citations (or just remove them entirely if needed). HannoC (talk) 00:46, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
