License tagging for Image:WinterChill2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:WinterChill2.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:09, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

The article Motorcycle Road Racing Forums has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Has had notability and COI tags since August, and no improvements or addressing the issues since then
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Pesky (talk …stalk!) 08:10, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. UnbelievableError (talk) 02:43, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Twisties Motorcycle Club Logo.png
[edit]
A tag has been placed on File:Twisties Motorcycle Club Logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Twisties
[edit]"Do you enjoy dragging pegs on a twisty road? This club is for you. Want to avoid being part of a rolling road block? This club is for you." Sorry, commercial or non-profit, that is advertising. Advertising is not allowed on Wikipedia - please see WP:SPAM. Apart from that, no notability or significance was shown. Please remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a directory, and see WP:GROUP. And finally, you need to produce reliable independent sources to prove the notability - WP:RS. Peridon (talk) 22:04, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
THIS IS NOT ADVERTISING!!!! IT IS SIMPLY A DESCRIPTION OF A GROUP. WTF?
- Note: To answer your question which you asked on the deleted talkpage of Twisties, it appears that both the website for that group and the website for the organization you mentioned [2] founding are owned by the same owner. That would suggest a potential conflict of interest as they do appear to be related to each other. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 22:10, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. The above referenced article will probably be deleted IMHO. The not so nicely worded message above tells you why. In order to have an article about your organization on Wikipedia, you have to show that the world has noticed your organization. You do this by referencing newspaper or tv news stories, books, or reliable websites (not Facebook, Twitter, You tube or blogs). If there aren't any, then your organization is not ready for a Wikipedia article yet. A piece of advice for you from someone who has some experience with nonprofits: Keep a scrapbook, in which you would include the kind of things I mentioned above. you never know when you might need it! (grant writing comes to mind.) Good luck and if I can be of any assistance, message me on my talk page. Gtwfan52 (talk) 22:14, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) If you don't see that that is advertising and not encyclopaedia content, then I feel you are in the wrong place. Wikipedia is free to edit. That doesn't mean no rules. READ THE F(lipping) POLICIES. I would advise you in all seriousness to read them before you post anything more, as you seem disinclined to listen to us. What would you do with someone who turned up to one of your meetings on a Lambretta? Well, what d'you think we're going to do if you go on ignoring our rules? Peridon (talk) 22:17, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Twisties Motorcycle Club Logo.png
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Twisties Motorcycle Club Logo.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en
wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 23:06, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
