Thank you today for the article, "about El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, a sequel film to the popular television series Breaking Bad. This thoroughly researched article discusses the lengths that director and writer Vince Gilligan took to revisit a story that he concluded six years beforehand, the ideas that he used and discarded for his script, the measures he took to keep the production a secret, as well as the means that Gilligan and his production crew took to capture a certain look for the film."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:34, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

Career of Lionel Messi
[edit]I have successfully trimmed down the Career of Lionel Messi (CoLM) to below 20,000 words (removed +40,000 bytes). I enjoy records, trivia, and details, but there was truly a lot of irrelevant info, especially in his recent years for Argentina, such as a full paragraph about a match with Brazil that was suspended by health officials (why is that relavant to Messi's career) and multiple occasions of "due to X injury sustained at X match, Messi missed/benched two friendlies" (again, not really relavant to his overall career). I think you will be rather content with my work. You probably know this page inside out, but when you read its current version, I don't think you will notice anything relavant missing.
But I have reached the point of deadlock. I can't trim much more because everything else seems notable or significant for one reason or another, or important to contextualize his career. Therefore, we need to find a different strategy if we want to bring it below 15,000.
The main page only has 11,000 words, so perhaps we could move some content to the main page in order to minimize the loss of information. I was thinking of a sub-section called "on-field controversies", where you could put all of those situations in which he was fined (insulting an assistant referee in 2017, the post-match comments in 2019, travel to Saudi in 2022, the hands to the face policy in 2025), which would clean off many paragraphs from the CoLM page, while also keeping it focused on his feats. You could even include stuff that is currently not covered, such as spitting on Duda in 2008, or headbutting Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa in 2015.
Kind regards. Luis7M (talk) 23:59, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
- I honestly wouldnt know . It's going to be tough too because his career isn't over yet, so there will still be more material to add. Flowerkiller1692 (talk) 03:35, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
- According to Shubinator's DYK tool, the prose size of Career of Lionel Messi is currently 17700 words, so we are not too far. Try to carry out what I suggested in the third paragraph in order to bring it down to below 17,000. Kind regards. Luis7M (talk) 15:06, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
