Hi there. I noticed you re-added the sigma coordinate form of the primitive equations to the article. I had some questions about the equations you added that I noticed when redoing them in LaTeX format... some of the variables (eg. u2) don't seem to be defined. There's no point in including equations if the readers don't understand the notation that you're using. Additionally, I wasn't sure about some of the equations in the original form you included them in. For example, the temperature equation you originally added was ∂T/∂t = u (∂Tx/∂X) + v (∂Ty/∂Y) + w (∂Tz/∂Z), and the water vapor equation was ∂W/∂t = u (∂Wx/∂X) + v (∂Wy/∂Y) + z (∂Wz/∂Z) . Perhaps I misunderstood your notation but I was expecting something along the lines of DT/Dt = 0 and DW/Dt = 0 (conservation of thermal energy and water mass). What are Tx, Ty, Tz and Wx, Wy, Wz supposed to represent? Are the x, y, and z suposed to be subscripts or are they actual distances? If so, why? Neither case seems to make physical sense to me. Additionally, is the z (∂Wz/∂Z) term in the precipitable water equation in error? If you're just expanding out the material derivitive shouldn't the z in front be w (vertical velocity)?
