Citations
[edit]Hi there. I can appreciate that this edit of yours would have taken a lot of time: [1]. I'm sorry to undo it, but it breaks a lot of formatting rules on Wikipedia. Firstly, it's never OK to link words in the prose of an article to an external website. So you can Wikilink Serene Khader to her Wikpedia article like this - Serene Khader. But under no circumstances can you add a link to her external website (which you did like this: Serene J. Khader). Also, only link each person once as per WP:LINKONCE.
Each statement or quote you add to an article also needs a WP:Inline citation. Again, you cannot link the reference to words in the prose, and you definitely can't put it in brackets in the article I.e like you did here -(Faux Feminism, Chapter 2). You also can't add unreferenced statements, like you did for Veronica Ivy and others.
Each source added also needs to adhere to WP:RS, and every statement added needs to adhere to WP:DUE. Quoting Nicole Dular's by name and giving her blog that much weight in the article is inappropriate, considering her level of notability and the fact the only source for this is a blog post. I'm unsure, but it may not be appropriate to her blog post as a source in any capacity.
You may also find reading WP:QUOTEFARM handy. It is ideal to summarise what people say about a topic in general, rather than giving each individual person a long quote. I hope this information is helpful, and that you can use it so add some of the information back to the article. Have a nice day. Damien Linnane (talk) 02:22, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
