This looks like a good list to me. There might be justification for creating a Yokai in Popular Culture article, but as I've said it can be challenging to make that case in just one semester. What I would recommend is working on adding that kind of information to the Yokai article itself (as you suggest), and then Wikipedia editors may eventually decide it merits its own article if it gets big enough. I think you're going towards a really good direction. Connecting traditional Yokai and pop culture is definitely a needed section in the wiki page you're going to edit. Yet I have some questions about your draft. What is the purpose of listing so many media examples of Yokai? That looks a little bit trivial for me as a reader, especially I have no idea what the most things you listed here are. Instead of listing a lot of things, what about focus on 1 or 2 animes, and how the creator interpret Yokai as a part of pop culture. The most obvious examples I can think about are Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan(ぬらりひょんの孫) and Natsume's Book of Friends(夏目友人帳)because they both heavily use figures of Japanese traditional Yokai in the animes. I do think Pokemon is somehow different from traditional Japanese Yokai but if you have a good way of interpreting it go ahead.
