Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at list of Top Gear episodes. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. . Details regarding new episodes require reliable sources, not fan sites passing on their interpretation of a vague tweet. Please stop edit warring and wait for confirmation of season details. --Drmargi (talk) 08:21, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at List of Top Gear episodes. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. AussieLegend () 08:45, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tweet removed

[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at List of Top Gear episodes. Please review Jeremy Clarkson's Twitter account. He NEVER mentions a two-part Christmas (capitalized or otherwise) special, and has removed the vague early July tweet regarding the series return and episode numbers. Top Gear has NEVER done 13 episodes, and has rarely done more than 6 in recent years. And then, again, review the Wikipedia policies on reliability and verifiability of sources. We work on the basis of consensus, and your edits have been removed more than once by more than one editor. Stop trying to edit war an unreliable piece of information back into the article. There is a discussion started on the TG talk page; you must discuss there rather than edit warring. --Drmargi (talk) 13:57, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

(Refactored version of my comments) Please review Jeremy Clarkson's Twitter account as he has removed the vague early July tweet regarding the series return and episode numbers. Top Gear has NEVER done 13 episodes, and has rarely done more than 6 in recent years but just because they have never done more than six doesn't mean that they won't. They do 12 episodes a year over TWO series and this year they have only ONE series of 6, so to make up for this they will be doing the "normal" 6 episodes plus 6 additional ones bringing the total to 12 and then adding a christmas special will bring the total to 13 a format change that could stay implemented. So you are right. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Editor157 (talkcontribs)
Please do not re-edit another user's comments on your own or any other talk page. You are free to remove content, but not alter it. I am restoring my comments, which are currently part of the record on the WP:AN3 discussion. As for your point above, you don't know that's what's being filmed, how many episodes, or anything like that -- to guess that they might be filming two series at once with no sourcing is way out in left field. We depend on reliable sources for our information, not fan sites and speculation. Clarkson's removed the tweet; that should tell you something about how reliable his information is. Plus you persist in attributing mention of a two-part Christmas (which is always capitalized, I might add) episode that he's never mentioned to that tweet. You can't pull this stuff out of your hat. This isn't a fan site, and we have standards for the verifiability of content. None of what you've added is reliable or verifiable at present, and it has to go. --Drmargi (talk) 17:40, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Story arcs in Doctor Who. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. AussieLegend () 15:40, 27 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:03, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Avono. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Dark Water (Doctor Who)— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Avono♂ (talk) 22:57, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
