Learning established rules and how to work with fellow editors

Hello. I noticed you've been deleting warnings on your personal talk page, which *is* allowed. Wikipedia administrators, using the User pages guidelines, will consider all deleted warnings as having been read and understood by you. If you get a warning - don't feel embarrassed. Most of us get them occasionally (I have one on my talk page right now) - usually for breaking some rule we didn't know existed. Please feel free to contact the editor or administrator directly who leaves a warning on your talk page to resolve any misunderstandings or ask help to learn how to avoid future mistakes. You have probably done nothing wrong aside from being new (which is not a problem at all); for instance, it is quite common for new editors to accidentally make mistakes in regard to style and/or naming conventions. If this happens to you - do not feel bad - we've all done it before. But it helps to be quick to fess up to it - so that someone else (usually an experienced editor or an administrator like me) can fix it. Fixing errors is very easy on Wikipedia and it's the most common way to teach and learn from each other on this project. Happy editing. - Davodd (talk)

As you removed the other messages, most people may not know you already received a note about it. While, as noted above, you are free to clear your talk page, you may find that leaving such messages in place for at least a day or two helps you avoid getting repeated notices and warnings. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 22:04, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Archive article talk pages

When archiving talk pages, please include an appropriate edit summary, such as "Archiving old conversations to [[Talk:Hannah Montana/Archive 3]]" so that people understand what you are doing. Otherwise, edits such as this can appear to be vandalism. You might care to review Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines, particularly the section on editing the comments of others. The content that you restored was not aimed at improving the article and was deleted in accordance with that section. It should not have been restored and added to the archive. Please also note that content that has been archived, such as what I deleted here, should not remain on the talk page. Also, while deciding what is to be archived often needs to be determined on a case by case basis, recent, open discussions such as "WikiProject, should not be archived. For more information, please see Help:Archiving a talk page. --AussieLegend (talk) 09:48, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
