Controversial topic area alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Armenia, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. — Newslinger talk 07:41, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Hardware acceleration, you may be blocked from editing. — Newslinger talk 07:43, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make unconstructive edits, such as your first ten Wikipedia edits, for any reason—including the purpose of gaining an account permission (e.g. autoconfirmed). This is considered a form of gaming the system, and is not allowed on Wikipedia. — Newslinger talk 07:47, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Digitain. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Digitain, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Eostrix  (🦉 hoot hoot🦉) 11:26, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Salvio 11:42, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello, thanks for reviewing my article. It was written for our company and in order to tell people who we are and what we do, please unblock the article and I promise to add more information to the readers of Wikipedia. Digitain (talk) 13:26, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

No part of this unblock request addresses the concerns raised. Yamla (talk) 13:53, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Telling the world about your company's existence is promotion. Not every company that exists is entitled to have a Wikipedia article. Only companies that meet our notability criteria are eligible for inclusion, and should be written by parties with no vested interest in the business. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 13:56, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Please tell what is the reason for blocking the article, what is the difference between our article and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sportradar or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kambi_Group or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playtech?

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 14:17, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do not abuse unblock requests in this manner. Once again, see WP:COI, WP:PAID, WP:PROMO, and WP:USERNAME. Additionally, see WP:OTHERSTUFF, but fundamentally, if you have evidence those pages were written by people with a conflict of interest, please present your evidence. And frankly, if you cannot see the difference, you are too close to your subject matter to be the slightest bit objective. "world-class", "Employing more than 600 of the brightest trading minds", "productive environment at the company", "the team consists of experts from different parts of the world with clear understanding of the industry trends and innovations", this is some of the most breathlessly promotional content I've ever seen here and has no place on an encyclopedia. --Yamla (talk) 14:10, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Wikipedia team,

Please unblock the account so we create an appropriate article that meets your policy. Our company needs to be highlighted on Wikipedia, we have new content to share with the readers and we assume you the content will be periodically updated, referring to other pages that already exist on Wikipedia. The new article will meet your policy and there will no commercial texts there, as we believe that only a neutral article may be published by your side.

Currently, we ask you to unblock our account and give us an opportunity to provide an appropriate article. Please note, that there are many references we'll include in the new article, which will lead to many medias. The company needs to have a wikipedia page not in commercial purposes.

We rely on your kind response and looking forward to receiving a positive feedback.

Decline reason:

Wikipedia is not a platform for promotion, and there is no company that needs to be "highlighted on Wikipedia". Instead of writing a Wikipedia article about Digitain, please redirect your efforts to making your company the best it can be. Eventually, someone unaffiliated with Digitain will write an article about it without Digitain's involvement.

You are still welcome to request an unblock if you intend to avoid editing about Digitain on Wikipedia, and instead edit articles on subjects unrelated to Digitain. Since this is the third declined unblock request, please use the Unblock Ticket Request System for future requests. — Newslinger talk 09:48, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System. If the block is a CheckUser or Oversight block, was made by the Arbitration Committee or to enforce an arbitration decision (arbitration enforcement), or is unsuitable for public discussion, you should appeal to the Arbitration Committee.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.
