Request reason:

I was wrongly blocked. My username is just my username, it's not a business. I tried adding an external link to an academic article I wrote on markov decision processes on the markov decision process Wikipedia page. The change got reverted because apparently it is disallowed to enrich Wikipedia with links to relevant resources for a person wandering on that page. I did not try to re-add the edit. The previous administrator clearly did not read my appeal. I wanted to add a link to an article I wrote. I was explained I couldn't. I DID NOT TRY TO RE-ADD THE LINK. I wanted to add a link I thought was relevant. I was explained it wasn't. I did not try to re-add the change. However, the next day I was blocked out of the blue.

Yes, I made a mistake, I am human, it happens. I accepted that and moved on with my life. Why getting indefinitely blocked afterwards while I already took into account what was said to me and did not try to re-add the edit?

You are blocked for promotional editing because you edited about your website, which is a severe conflict of interest. This great achievement of humanity is not here for you to spam your website. I do not receive any compensation. I just thought (at the time) that an article about markov decision processes had its place in the external links of the page about markov decision processes.

The edit linked to my article, which is a conflict of interest. I did one mistake that I did not repeat. (The fact that I did not try to re-add the edit is proof that I understood my mistake).

I intend to use Wikipedia in its intended use and not repeat the mistake that I did once due to ignorance of certain Wikipedia rules that I now understand.

Some examples of edits I did in the past:

When I did not have an account yet, I added a derivation of a physics formula that was present in an English page to a French page while adapting the notation to match the French notation.

With this account, I added the precision that the dotnet framework from Microsoft was now cross platform and installable on Linux and MacOS as well.
