Notes
[edit]Hi! Here are my notes:
- Be careful of sourcing. Make sure that the source is both independent and reliable. For example, primary sources such as things written by Biofuelwatch or people or organizations affiliated with them can back up basic details but not big or controversial claims. They ideally should not make up the bulk of the article, as you will need the independent reliable sources to establish notability. It looks like a large amount of the sourcing here is primary, so you definitely need these secondary sources. Examples of good sourcing would be things like academic or scholarly sources that discuss Biowatch, as well as news articles in places like the New York Times. Try and avoid self-published sourcing or sourcing in places where the editorial oversight is difficult to discern or the site looks to be questionable, as these are typically not seen as reliable on Wikipedia.
- In general you should only list specific protests or campaigns if there has been a lot of independent coverage in reliable sources to justify mentioning them. Otherwise, a general overview is the best option, especially as it's expected that most organizations will have multiple campaigns that could number in the dozens or more, which makes for an unwieldy page, especially when a general overview can get across the information more succinctly.
- Be careful of phrasing. Some of this comes from material that was already in the article, but make sure that your prose doesn't come across as arguing for or against Biofuelwatch.
I hope that this helps! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:42, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
Leo's Review
[edit]This article draft is well organized and is quite easy to follow. It is clear from your references tab that you have placed a great deal of time into formulating this draft. This draft does an excellent job of bringing to light the historical as well as the contemporary aspects of Biofuelwatch. I would like to recommend some areas in which you may improve your article further. The first area of which regards the historical founding of Biofuelwatch. I believe that your article could be further advanced by trying to dig up more information regarding the founding of this organization. Secondly, I would like to recommend adding an area of potential improvement that involves potential controversies associated with Biofuelwatch as you have illustrated they do work with other organizations so it may be of use to include potential controversies they have found themselves in. Overall your article is exceptional and if you continue to work as hard as you clearly did for this draft it will produce an exceptional product. Best regards and good luck. Great, you've made good additions! I'm reviewing it and you can also, for example edit parts and rephrase where it may sound argumentative/or something. Thank you. Davyani123 (talk) 23:27, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
