Your username
[edit]Hi, welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for your contributions. Your username has been flagged as a violation at WP:UAA. It's definitely using an acronym that some users would find offensive, and thus fall foul of our WP:USERNAME policy. As you are otherwise contributing constructively though i wanted to give you the chance to make a username change voluntarily. The alternative is you likely getting blocked at some point. To request a username change just visit Wikipedia:Changing_username/Simple and add your request to change there. Any questions please let me know, happy to help. - Mfield: I like to welcome new users, in this case I did not realize that there could be a problem with the username. For my future welcomes, could you hint at what I missed with this username? Thanks. Lklundin (talk) 08:51, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Lklundin, since it was me who found and reported this user, I'll explain the problem. It's not your fault that you missed this, as most of this neo-Nazi acronyms are pretty obscure and not easily recognizable. Basically, their username contains acronym that has two meanings:
- 1) diabetes medication called Thiazolidinedione
- 2) call to kill all Russian people (see wikt:TND#Derived terms)
- The user in question hasn't edited anything related to diabetes, and actively edits only articles concerning the Russo-Ukrainian war. What can this mean? 90.154.72.251 (talk) 13:42, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hello,
- I'm sorry about this confusion. I used the username change page as You suggested, thanks.
- I wasn't aware that this acronym gained a new meaning in recent years, for me it was one of many acronyms I used while creating nicknames for online games and such, usually with acronym referencing some location near me and the word "Champion". Like the D13_Champion, D13 meaning District 13, a pun to the city district I grew up in and the French movie from 2004 with the same name. It was a sort of tradition among me and my schoolmates.
- As for the edited articles, I was edditing various articles before anonymously, but decided to finally make my own account recently. I find it fascinating that a worlwide project that I use everyday and deeply admire such as Wikipedia will have a tiny tiny piece made by me. Military technology such as vechicles, armament, radar systems and their rapid evolution are within my interests so I thoutht to share a few findings I made here as contributions to the articles.
- I live in Eastern Europe and I have my own strong feelings about the war, but as in the guidelines I tried to be as profesional as possible while providing edits. And for the content of the edits, I'll certainly go beyond the topic of current conflicts, but as they happen, new informations will apear and so the pages here will need to be updated.
- I certainly do not wish or wished to be linked with anything n*zi related. I checked the ADL and slurs lists to for the "TZD" and didn't find anything there. It's true, it's very obscure and only place I found it used in this context is twitter which I don't use very often.
- Sorry again :( TZD Champion (talk) 09:48, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
