Why did you revert my edit on "Pursuit of Happyness"? There is no evidence either in the film or elsewhere that the fact that somebody misspelled it hundred years earlier bears any relevance to how it appears in the movie. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.224.53.60 (talk) 21:10, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's properly sourced information, that someone put time and effort in to. If you want it removed, make a case on the talk page. Crotchety Old Man (talk) 21:17, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Apology

[edit]

Hello old guy,

I just wanted to apologize for the template I put on your page. I realize you are going through a hard time, and I will not revert your edits anymore. However, the way you responded to the reversions was not following the WP:CIV guidelines, and you will need to review those immediately. Calling people names is childish and unnecessary.

Have a great week, Kevinmon (talk) 13:07, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ah. I always love it when people realize they were in the wrong. It helps if you'd take some time to learn how Wikipedia works. It was also pretty funny how your fanboy fancruft got smacked down on the Penn High page. LOL. Crotchety Old Man (talk) 14:18, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CSD "decline"

[edit]

For future note, "surviving" a CSD is not a valid reason to remove another CSD as you did here[1] Articles that have been PRODed can not be reprodded, but any article can be CSDed again. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 13:22, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I figured you'd be offended. I just wanted to keep an Admin from wasting his or her time. Not like the CSD would've passed that time. Crotchety Old Man (talk) 13:30, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I was not offended, I just was correcting for incorrect edit summary. And really not for you to judge if it would have or would not have passed that time. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 13:32, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's cool. I used to get offended when I got reverted too. Just not worth getting upset over Wikipedia. Crotchety Old Man (talk) 13:51, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Again, I'm not offended nor upset. Couldn't care less. Just wanted to correct misinformation. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 13:54, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Heh. Just wait 'til the Kentucky fanboys come knocking. Surprised a flame war hasn't erupted on that page already. Crotchety Old Man (talk) 17:29, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Girl and the Sea

[edit]

Hi! I removed your A9 tag from Girl and the Sea. The article is not applicable for speedy under A9 because the artist's article does exist. Regards, Jafeluv (talk) 19:41, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I kinda screwed that up. Crotchety Old Man (talk) 19:43, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Double Indemnity

[edit]

My edit was not vandalism. I had earlier added a template and thought the information redundant. You do not need to threaten , I could have fill in the summary but I forgot. My apologies.66.108.95.79 (talk) 22:08, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Same edit was made twice, without an explanation. It was either vandalism, or stupidity. Crotchety Old Man (talk) 01:26, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

500 Words of Summary

[edit]

I've seen the film twice, so I felt I could write a better summary, and I got the soundtrack which gives Day 1 as Jan 8. I think the trouble is that writing 2000 words about a film plot is easy, trimming it back to under 700 or 400 words is harder. I have it on my watchlist but keep an eye on anyone expanding it, I'm not saying what I wrote was perfect but improvements should be that, they should improve not just bloat the plot. I removed a lot of wikilinks, so add any back in which are relevant, and I think the film is set in LA, but wasn't sure so used "the city" for all references. Darrenhusted (talk) 16:54, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It was in dire need. I'll keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get bloated again. Crotchety Old Man (talk) 16:58, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
