Request reason:

I believe this block was made in error, and I have only ever used this one account. My edits were in good faith. I had been contributing to the Lindy Li talk page because it was an active area I was genuinely interested in—I had posted a different thread on that same talk page days earlier and was checking back for replies. I’d like to note that I did not make any edits to the Lindy Li page itself; my only involvement was in the talk page discussion.

I’ve never heard of the account I’m accused of socking for (Napoleonjosephine2020) and was not even aware of their existence until I was blocked. There is no possibility of an IP match because I have never used any other account on Wikipedia. I understand that Napoleonjosephine2020 has been confirmed by CheckUser to have used multiple accounts abusively, but I have no connection to them whatsoever.

Please see meatpuppetry; when you do something that others have been blocked for, you may be blocked yourself. That said, would you agree to completely abandon editing about Lindy Li? 331dot (talk) 14:09, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: I appreciate the offer to end this with a topic ban, and under normal circumstances, I’d be fine with stepping away from the Lindy Li talk page for good. However, I would prefer for this to go through a proper review, as I truly believe the block was made in error. While my contribution to the talk page may have echoed points raised by a sock puppet, I feel it was neutral and intended to stand on its own merits. I’m not part of any coordinated effort, and I would like the review to reflect that.

I have no plans to edit that page again, but I would feel more comfortable if the block itself could be evaluated on its actual merits. I’m patient and willing to wait for a thorough review. Thank you. CosmicFuzz (talk) 13:20, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
