[edit]

Stop icon Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
You're now on your fourth revert on one article - any further reverts will leave you liable to being blocked from editing. — ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 09:50, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Harald Malmgren) for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:53, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Not edit war - reverting page back to previously legitimated status before it started being brigaded CodenamePingu123 (talk) 10:04, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I disagree - it was an edit war, and the block is legitimate. PhilKnight (talk) 12:09, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@CodenamePingu123, to respond to a comment that you made on reddit (I hope I'm not being to presumptuous to assume the reddit account with the same name as you saying you've been restricted from editing the page is you): I don’t think there’s a way of reverting that unless I’m an admin. Am I mistaken ? No, the article has been semi-potected for a month, which means it can't be edited by IPs or new accounts.

However, even if you meet these criteria (and once your block has expired) you will still be expected to discuss edits instead of simply reverting them. The reason that you where blocked from the page is that you where repeatedly reverting without discussing it (which is an edit war). See also WP:BRD, which is the procedure to follow and WP:3RR, which details how you will be blocked if you don't properly engage. Hope that was helpful, and feel free to ask any questions you have. CodenamePingu123, if you consider this outing, then I'll suppress it for you. Just ask. PhilKnight (talk) 12:11, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine, the same name is there because I don't mind. Wish I had more time to fully cite Harald's actual version, rather than the hack job that is currently being passed off as his life story, but I don't. CodenamePingu123 (talk) 17:01, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@PhilKnight, are they able to post to the talk page?
@CodenamePingu123, You can still post links to the sources you think are good and request edits be made based on them. You have to understand that Wikipedia is primarily based on high quality independent secondary reliable sources and there's a great many sources that have thus far been offered that don't meet those strictures. Reliable sources, when writing about Malmgren write much more about his Lobbying than they do his Government work so (per WP:DUE and WP:NPOV) that's what the article is slanted towards. If there's a source not currently used that you think meets the above feel free to post it here (or if you can at the talk) and somebody is bound to give you feedback on it. If you disagree with that then the way it's settled is discussion, not reverts.
Or maybe try some editing in a topic area that is less fraught, less high stakes and easiser to make mistakes in. Happy editing. Cakelot1 ☞️ talk 17:25, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Cakelot1: - they can still post to Talk:Harald Malmgren. PhilKnight (talk) 17:44, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In that case @CodenamePingu123, I recommend you begin a discussion on the sources you want to add at Talk:Harald Malmgren or even better make a specific Edit request concerning parts of the article you want to add or remove (again providing reliable sources to support) Cakelot1 ☞️ talk 18:14, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 21:12, 24 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
