List of Microsoft Windows versions
[edit]Hi.
Thanks for the contribution to List of Microsoft Windows versions but the item you added was already there, your link was broken, and the given version number was incorrect. Sorry. There was very little to do except to revert your change.
If you have trouble finding it, try searching for 64-Bit using your browser's search feature. (Usually, pressing CTRL+F and typing it there works.)
Best regards,

- Dear Codename Lisa
- first of all, wow, your comment is extremely polite and friendly! :)
- Now, I understand the confusion, but I do believe that my editing is justified.
- To be more precise:
- * the item I added was not there already. A similar item was. I'll explain below :D
- * Does this link work better? I hope so
- * the version number is ok, proof below
- Here is my "proof":
- * if you look at the aforementioned link, you'll find two entries for 64-bit XP. One is "64-bit Edition Version 2003" released on march 28, 2003, and the other "Professional x64 Edition", released 25 April, 2005. Note that both are under kernel version 5.2
- Now, going to the page I edited, next to kernel 5.2, there is only one entry, "Windows XP Professional x64". So I added the one that was missing. At the same time, under kernel 5.1, there is the entry "Windows XP 64-bit Edition", but please do not think that is wrong. It should also stay where it is (proof they are different versions (2002/2003), based on different kernels (5.1/5.2), released on different dates).
- To conclude, I still believe the edit was ok. Let me know what you think :)
- Cheers,
- Chris cmavr8
