Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with... I was trying to reach somebody regarding updating an article that had a serious typo. The article was on the actor, Henry Hunter Hall, and had listed his father as “actress” Vondie Curtiss-Hall.

In addition, there was a plethora of information in the article on him, his mother and his father that (because of its importance) should have been summarized right up top in the articles.

This is what I was trying to do when I got stopped by the Wikipedia volunteer from Britain, Timtjim, when he left me no way to return this message. Forgive me, but the information that I was summarizing was already in the articles.

And because of their importance, the summaries of these specific articles should be move to the beginning (of what’s already in them) is especially true in regards to the importance of Henry Hunter Hall’s mother, Kasi Lemmons but wasn’t.

As I say, if you read these three articles, you’ll notice the information in the summaries is already there.

When I tried to correct us, I was stopped by a volunteer from Britain named Timtjim with no way to return his email.

The information needs to be added to the three articles of the father, Vondie Curtis-Hall, the mother, Kasi Lemmons, and their son, Henry Hunter Hall.

Again, the three people are:

The mother Kasi Lemmons The award-winning African American filmmaker for 23-years, film director, screenwriter, film actress and film teacher, television actress and original first African American opera librettist (script writer) who is married to Vodie Curtiss-Hall, the African American film and television director, as well as television actor, and whose son is actor, Henry Hunter Hall.

The father Vondie Curtis-Hall The film and television director, as well as television actor, who is married to the award-winning African American filmmaker for 23-years, film director, screenwriter, film actress and film teacher, television actress and original first African American opera librettist (script writer) Kasi Lemmons and whose son is actor, Henry Hunter Hall.

And their son Henry Hunter Hall The African American actor whose parents are the award-winning African American filmmaker for 23-years, film director, screenwriter, film actress and film teacher, television actress and original first African American opera librettist (script writer) and the African American film and television director, as well as television actor, Vondie Curtiss-Hall.

Thank you so much! ClassicMac2025 (talk) 14:04, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, please show me the article information so I can help you! Nichin32 (talk) 14:55, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Uh... it's Henry Hunter Hall. Primefac (talk) 20:52, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure what you're asking for here. As far as his father being an "actress" that seems to have been corrected/fixed, as I suspect there was some (potentially inadvertent) shenanigans that happened during the mini edit war. If you have made changes to a page, and were reverted, then per WP:BRD the next thing to do is discussion the matter on the article's talk page, in this case Talk:Henry Hunter Hall. I took a quick look at Hall's page and do agree that the previous edits were putting too much emphasis on his parents' achievements, turning it into a rather non-neutral sentence. I think just linking his parents and giving a one-word summary of their job is sufficient. But again, you should discuss more changes on the article's talk page. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 20:52, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
