Commas

[edit]

Hello! Thank you so much for the work you did on my Ashely Nora and Amiah Mims article. I noticed that you edited a lot of the commas and punctuation surrounding my quotes. It is common practice in the United States to put commas and punctuation before the closing of the quote. I am not normally the grammar police, but I thought maybe it was a cultural difference and that I should bring it to your attention. Thank you again for all your contributions to the articles I wrote! Ssafder (talk) 13:48, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Per MOS:INOROUT, my corrections are the preferred style on Wikipedia. Cerebral726 (talk) 22:00, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh! I did not realize that, thank you! Ssafder (talk) 13:20, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure thing! Thanks for your phenomenal contributions by the way. As a lover of the Indy-area art scene, I really appreciate you writing these articles. Cerebral726 (talk) 16:04, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much! The more I research and learn about Indy art scene the more appreciation I have for it! Ssafder (talk) 16:15, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming expiry of your ipblock-exempt right

[edit]

Hi, this is an automated reminder as part of Global reminder bot to let you know that your WP:IPBE right which gave you the ability to bypass IP address blocks will expire on 02:24, 5 November 2024 (UTC). If your IP is still blocked (which you can test by trying to edit when logged-out), please renew by following the instructions at the IPBE page; otherwise, you do not need to do anything. To opt out of user right expiry notifications, add yourself to m:Global reminder bot/Exclusion. Leaderbot (talk) 07:29, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bob Baffert LEADCITE

[edit]

Hi Annointed777 (talk) 01:57, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

HiCerebral726, I am not well versed at talk pages, I am not sure where my message I sent you went. I'm Annointed777, nice to meet you! I appreciate your comments on Bob Baffert's page. I am still pretty new to this and I don't have the experience you do, but I do think that someone who has achieved what Bob has achieved should should have his achievements in the forefront and then have a section on "Controversies." Would you mind discussing this with me? I would love to work with you to make this the best article possible if you are willing. I looked at your work, and I especially love - Conan O'Brien Must Go. My intension is to only help anywhere I can. I really love working on articles about U.S. Trainers, horses and jockeys. I think there's a lot of issues on Bob Baffert's page, including the section "Controversies" - Because he is such an important figure in this sport, I think it's a really important page to work on and make perfect. I intention is not to make it bias one way or the other. I would love to work on it with you, if you would be willing. thank you so much for your time. I hope I get to know you better and we can become friends!!!(Annointed777 (talk) 02:19, 20 November 2024 (UTC))[reply]
Hello, thank you for your kind words. You can bring any discussions about a particular article to their WP:TALKPAGE. In this instance, you can find the appropriate place at Talk:Bob Baffert. In terms of mentioning the controversies in the lead area, please keep in mind that articles are not written to put people in the best light possible, but to reflect how WP:reliable sources describe them and maintaining a WP:NPOV. In this instance, Bob Baffert has an entire section of his article with well cited controversies. Since the purpose of a lead is to summarize the contents of the article (WP:LEAD), it would be incomplete without it. Cerebral726 (talk) 13:44, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also with regards to the citations, per MOS:LEADCITE, Because the lead usually repeats information that is in the body, editors should balance the desire to avoid redundant citations in the lead with the desire to aid readers in locating sources for challengeable material. Typically, citations are therefore not typically required in this instance but could be added to those potentially controversial lead sentences. Cerebral726 (talk) 13:52, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Cerebral726,
Sorry for the late reply, I suddenly got buried with work, and just dug myself out!!! You are so nice, it's people like you that make new people like me want to stay and really be a part of this wonderful community. In the next few days I will open a conversation with you on Talk:Bob Baffert. I am excited about working with you on this and getting to know you. You seem amazing! I really respect your work and will take your direction. Thank you so much for your guidance!!! (Annointed777 (talk) 17:39, 25 November 2024 (UTC))[reply]

CN on 2024–25 Formula E World Championship

[edit]

Hi there,

the page https://results.fiaformulae.com/ would be able to fulfill your CN tag on the Formula E page - there is just no way (that I can see) to get links to specific documents, e.g. an event entry list that would confirm rounds entered, car names and entrant names.

If you have an idea how to handle this, let me know! Cheers, Hmnphl (talk) 18:41, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, that is frustrating that we can't link to specific documents. Let me look into that. Cerebral726 (talk) 18:58, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome!
