Guideline and policy news
- Following an RFC, Wikipedia:Notability (species) was adopted as a subject-specific notability guideline.
- A request for comment is open to discuss whether admins should be advised to warn users rather than issue no-warning blocks to those who have posted promotional content outside of article space.
Technical news
- The Nuke feature also now provides links to the userpage of the user whose pages were deleted, and to the pages which were not selected for deletion, after page deletions are queued. This enables easier follow-up admin-actions.

- Following the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections, the following editors have been elected to the Arbitration Committee: CaptainEek, Daniel, Elli, KrakatoaKatie, Liz, Primefac, ScottishFinnishRadish, Theleekycauldron, Worm That Turned.

Retrieve Deleted Article
Hello! I was told to reach out to retrieve deleted content/articles. My only article was potentially deleted and I put a lot of work into it. Even if we don’t use it for Wikipedia I’d like to have all that info. Please let me know if there’s anything you can do. It is the article about the musical artist “DHeusta.”

- Hello Heustabros thanks for your message. I've searched the deletion logs for any deleted article titled "Dheusta" but was unable to locate anything matching that title. I see from your User Talk Page that you had a notification from TornadoLGS about the content at User:Heustabros/sandbox which MAY be liable to deletion because it does not meet our Notability or Conflict of Interest guidelines. I think that may be the information you are seeking. As of now, that content has NOT been deleted, so you are able to access and recover this without my intervention.
