User talk:Bzn~enwiki
Congratulations on your first edit! While we appreciate your efforts with the article Binhai Zhu, please try and adhere to some general guidelines:
1. This is supposed to be an encyclopedia. While Wikipedia is not really like a paper-and-ink encyclopedia, it is still a public information source and articles need to be written for a general audience.
2. Everything not easily verified on Wikipedia should have a named source, whether it is a book, magazine, Web site, or whatever, so we can check the veracity of our articles. Ideally, sources should be formally cited, adhering to standard bibliographic notation.
3. Articles should be written using Wiki markup and using the guidelines in the Manual of Style. Wiki markup is not like a formal programming language and is rather simple- use double brackets to indicate a link, two or three equals signs to create a new heading, two apostrophes to show italics, an asterisk for bullets, and three apostrophes to show bold text.
4. Articles on the English Wikipedia need to be entirely in English, not slang, l33t, or IM-speak. If you speak a foreign language natively, you can contribute to that Wikipedia (over one hundred and counting). Translation is also available.
5. Unless they're famous, don't write articles on you, your house, your relatives, your friends, or your neighbor's cousin's friend's dog (that actually happened once).
6. In general, try and read Wikipedia frequently. Wikipedia is an excellent, very extensive information source, and the more familiar you are with Wikipedia, the easier editing will be.
7. Wikipedia must maintain a neutral point of view NPOV. Please don't try and advocate a position or convince people of something. This goes double for spam and corporate advertisements.
Again, thank you, and welcome to the Wikipedia community!

Proposed deletion of Binhai Zhu
[edit]
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Binhai Zhu, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Has been tagged as an orphan for nearly a year and as having inadequate references for over two years. Ok but not stellar research record, not consistent with the rest of the members of Category:Researchers in geometric algorithms and not a clear pass of WP:PROF. Has not competed at the top level of his sport, so does not pass WP:ATHLETE.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. —David Eppstein (talk) 22:26, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Bzn. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Bzn~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
