Nice job on the GU Comics article. I was amazed at how little there was of it when I found it lost and alone earlier. Since I noticed you haven't received your official welcome, yet, here it goes:

Re: Citing References
[edit]I posted a short tutorial over at Iain's talk page on how to start eking out references at Gaelic Traditionalism and thought I'd post it for you over here as well.
At the end of a sentence where you want to cite a source, place a footnote like this: <ref>O Hogain(1991) pp.165-168</ref> which should render like this:[1]
The reference will automagically appear down in the Notes section like this:
- ^ O Hogain (1991) pp.165-168
Then put the whole book reference down in the Reference section using this format:
{{cite book | last =O Hogain | first =Daithi | authorlink = | coauthors = | year =1991 | title =Myth, Legend and Romance - An Encyclopaedia of the Irish Folk Tradition | publisher =Prentice Hall Press | location = | id =ISBN 0132759594 }}
Properly formatted, it will appear like this:
- O Hogain, Daithi (1991). Myth, Legend and Romance - An Encyclopaedia of the Irish Folk Tradition. Prentice Hall Press. ISBN 0132759594.
{{cite book}}
: Cite has empty unknown parameter:|coauthors=
(help)
This is the easiest way which I know of to cite sources, but there are several different ways it can be done. You can learn more about it than you ever wanted to here and here. Hope this helps! WeniWidiWiki 06:34, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Más fear tú ba cheart duit "Breandán Ó Cinnéide" a rá agus a scríobh. Níl in "Uí Chinnéide" ach leagan ginideach "Ó Cinnéide", mar shampla:
Breandán Ó Cinnéide ACH leabhar Bhreandáin Uí Chinnéide.
Úsáideann mná pósta, leis, "Uí":
Máire Ní Chinnéide (bean shingil) Máire Uí Chinnéide (bean phósta, le Cinnéideach fir) An Muimhneach Machnamhach 13:32, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- Go raibh maith agat, a chara. Tá sloinne na máthar agam (as bearla: "O'Carey", scéal fada), ach beidh mé ag malartach ag m'sloinne "Ó Ciarraí". Tá beagán Gaeilge agam, ar an drochuair.--Breandán 19:16, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Clannada na Gadelica
[edit]FYI, I have put Clannada na Gadelica up for deletion. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Clannada na Gadelica. —Ashley Y 10:34, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- The article has now been deleted. —Ashley Y 02:27, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- I stopped having anything to do with that article after many problems occurred due to personality conflicts, so I am not surprised. As an FYI, I am not, nor have I ever been a member of the CnG, and thus do not have any idea what they planned on doing with the article if anything. They moved in a direction that the rest of us did not wish to follow, and we've had no contact with them since. --Breandán 08:26, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Gu_wiki_img.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Gu_wiki_img.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sandstein 05:57, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- As the article is in review, please refrain from deleting it for now. Thank you--Breandán 06:22, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
GU Comics
[edit]Someone has recreated the article at User:Zz9pzza/GU Comics. I'd recommend working on that copy to bring it up to WP:N standards and then referring to it on the deletion review. If it's well sourced, it will probably be recreated in that form. Sandstein 06:27, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
