Kostas Novakis

The article Kostas Novakis has been completely changed by 157.228.x.x into one which I can only argue as POV pushing (Revision history of Kostas Novakis). The current article has removed most Macedonian sources which shows he states his language is Macedonian, he is ethnic Macedonian and so on. I luckily have saved Macedonia related articles which I knew would be changed constantly, but I am banned from editing Macedonia related issues. You can easily compare the older version below to the current article to view it is in fact POV pushed. Since I cannot edit Macedonia related issues, please use this template to create an article which is fair and neutral. Please tell other Macedonians on Wikipedia to keep a watch on the article. Kostas Novakis (Greek: Κώστας Νοβάκης also in Macedonian: Костас Новакис) is a researcher of folk music in Greece. He has produced traditional music of the Macedonia region and he has also produced songs in the Macedonian language.

Biography

Kostas Novakis was born in Koufalia, Thessaloniki prefecture, Greek Macedonia in 1957. Kostas works as a dentist in the same village and is a member of the Centre for Macedonian Culture. He is prominent for releasing several music albums with traditional songs and music of the region of Macedonia. He has also produced various albums with songs typical of the Greek province of Macedonia but with the lyrics recorded in the "dialect of the Aegean part of Macedonia." . In Greece, the first CD with 13 Macedonian folk songs, called "A Letter from Thessalonica", was published in 2002, recorded by Kostas and Harula Novakis.

Also in 2002, Kostas was a special guest at the "Meeting of refugees from Aegean Macedonia" held in the town of Trnovo, Republic of Macedonia. The event is a gathering mainly attended by ethnic Macedonians originating from the Greek province of Macedonia.

Kostas and his friends engaged an orchestra of 11 instrumentalists, five of whom come from the Republic of Macedonia:

4. Lazar Stankov – guitar
5. Lazo – efonio

"I had this really strong wish to give permanence to the songs that my grand mother, and the other grand-mothers from the village used to sing. The observation of the tradition and the Macedonian folklore are in my blood since childhood. I have recordings of about 1.000 songs with an original singing of the elderly inhabitants, and I sang these on the dialect of the Aegean part of Macedonia. This is the first time that a CD, with this kind of music, is published in Greece. We give it to friends in Greece, we sent it to Australia and Canada, and it is played on the local radio stations."

Well, I don't know how to answer this - call it a conflict of interests or something. They have a POV and I have a POV and you might say they just collide. The ones that trully show hatred just have some extreme views - like half of Bulgaria speaks Macedonian, Half of Bulgaria is Macedonian and that stuff. My personal opinion is that they just get too mad with me from time to time. They're stubborn and I'm stubborn, too - seems to draw 'em mad. They eventually do calm down in a few days, though. I spend so much time making this article, and this user Köbra comes and vandalizes the whole text of the article and excludes valuable photos. If I were to take sides over friends or something, I'd had to block a lot of users. I'm trying hard to stay neutral and I think I'm doing a damn good job making that true. You should know that I'm quite a tolerant admin, and I block only when the polices are broken, to protect the wiki. Come on, take a breathe for 3 days, let it be. Welcome to the translation efforts

Yes so basically I am handing TWB high quality Wikipedia articles in English with all the mark up in place. They than translate the articles into the language in question and hand back a translated article with all the Media Wiki mark up still in place. The language integrator than adds this to the appropriate language wiki.

Typically a bit of work needs to be done to make sure all the markup works as different languages use slightly different markup. The lead integrator would also keep this table up to date for their language. [3] And would also let the team know if there are article that are already good in the target language and thus do not need translating.

You could of course also directly translate articles aswell and TWB is looking for more volunteers. Will email you so that I can than put you in touch with the rest of the group.
