Please do not add external links to articles in the manner that you did with the CHOP links. The external link section is to be used sparingly. See Wikipedia:External links for more information. While I understand why you added those links, they are considered advertising/spam. The Haztalk02:09, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Did not mean to step over any bounds, etc. The inclusion of Center for Biomedical Informatics links seems appropriate given the existing links to similar Centers of Emphasis (CoE) and research teams. I would like to ask how the inclusion of the Center for Applied Genomics as a CHOP-run CoE and the exclusion of other CoE's appropriate or defendible...Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bio guru 2000 (talk • contribs)
Please respond here next time, or on my talk page, not my personal user page.
I had actually gone through and cleaned up what would be considered to be obvious advertising. If you believe there is more to be deleted, feel free to do so. WP has a strict policy on external links for a good reason. I have nothing against CHOP; (as an aside I left there just half an hour ago). Also note that the See Also section is only for internal links. If you create an article (or ask for one to be created) for the Center, then you are free to link to it there. Or, better yet, create a new "Centers" section on the CHOP article first, and then link to it from there. Although the article itself is not that great, you may wish to take a look at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania article to get an idea of what is allowed in each section.
One last note: if you do decide to create an article on it, just be sure to adhere to guidelines regarding neutrality and such. It would be a shame to spend valuable time creating it only to get it deleted. Let me know if you have any other questions. The Haztalk14:59, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
