Request reason:

I was just editing Amiga 4000 and was trying to make things consistent. I converted the few occurrences of "chipset" into "chip set" according to the "-CS" of "OCS" and "ECS," but then realized that some abbreviations treat compound words as if they were the separate words of the compound, so I changed them back to the common "chipset." I guess I turned the links from "chip set" into "chipset" too, not realizing that they would break. But then I changed those back. I want to move the linked articles from "chip set" to the commonly used "chipset" too, but I don't have that access yet.

I don't understand why just accidentally breaking links and then fixing them supposedly should be considered "abuse" or should deserve any kind of blocking, let alone an indefinite one with no warning whatsoever! Why? Would someone please explain what the deal is with that?

Decline reason:

Checkuser verified abuser of multiple accounts. --jpgordon::==( o ) 22:23, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Oh, this was about multiple accounts? You saw that I was Bbb26 on that article and then had switched to "Bbb20" there, right? I wasn't trying to hide that I was both of those, but I just created "Bbb20" after the "-26" one because I liked it better. Then I was only using the "-20" after that. And even Wikipedia rules say that you can have more than one account if they meet certain conditions. I didn't think I was breaking those conditions. However, if I didn't meet those, then how about if I just discontinue use of the "26" (which was my plan anyway) and you unblock this one, the "20"?

Decline reason:

Since your many accounts are clearly intended to impersonate another Wikipedia user, I am declining this unblock request. Yunshui  09:18, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please tell us what other accounts you have created. --jpgordon::==( o ) 23:52, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I think you and DoRD already know the answer to that question: Bbb17, this new one (20), -23, -26, -29, etc. Why ask that if you already know? And why do we have a rule that allows even 6 new accounts to be created from the same IP address in a day if they're all just going to be shot down, accused of "abuse with multiple accounts," anyway?
And what kind of punishment would an admin. get if he creates new accounts like this, thinking he's within the rules but then end up not being within the rules?

You're claiming to be admin User:Bbb23 too? Squinge (talk) 08:49, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Huh? Where did you get that? I was curious about if an admin were in my situation, but that doesn't mean I claim to be one. Obviously if I were one, I wouldn't have these questions, would I? Besides, how would a person impersonate another with a name like this one when obviously the numbers are different?And if that were even a real concern, then isn't there a provision in the system that tells us when one name looks too similar to another?
I got it right above where, in answer to "Please tell us what other accounts you have created", you replied "Bbb17, this new one (20), -23, -26, -29, etc" (my emphasis). Squinge (talk) 17:07, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, my mistake. I must've just been thinking about the pattern of numbers skipping by 3s (see the pattern?) and managed to just throw that one in. All is not lost just because of that, I hope.

Bbb20,
Thank you for trying to help to improve Wikipedia. Unfortunately, some of your edits to Amiga Advanced Graphics Architecture, changing "chipset" to "chip set" or "Chip Set" actually broke the links to some other pages. See here. I have fixed the links now, so they are all blue, rather than red. I also expanded several acronyms where they needed to be, (per wp:ACRONYM) so it may be a bit unclear. See here.
