- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

- Merry Christmas and a Happy new year!
- Thank you for editing the article 'Estonia', and I think it has improved significantly because of it.
- I also wanted to ask what do you think about a couple of my other observations. This concerns the very first sentence of the article. Lake Peipus is divided, part of the lake belongs to Estonia, part to Russia, and since this article does not distinguish between the actual land area of Estonia and the mirror of Lake Peipus, although there are also sources that, on the contrary, highlight the land area of Estonia without Peipus separately. Therefore I think that it is not logical to say that Estonia borders Peipus, as the country cannot border itself. Is my logic correct?
- Also, what do you think is the right order to name a country's neighbors: start with the land neighbors or start with the sea border neighbors instead. I'm under the impression that Wikipedia articles almost always mention countries with land borders first.

- I've removed the lake-bordering piece. With regards to neighbours, I'd agree it's more common to list land first, but as far as I know there isn't a rule requiring a particular approach. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:48, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
Thanks.
