[edit]Hi Imcdc, thanks for your reversions, and requesting a block this morning. I have now had a little time to delve back, and created User:Arjayay/B B which lists the IPs I have tracked down, and the articles vandalized, of which there are remarkably few. I have saved a "Related changes" search for that page, which will list every new alteration, without adding them to my (overlong) watchlist. Please feel free to do the same, if you wish, and please let me know of any more IPs you have found that have been falsifying figures in this area. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 15:24, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Arjayay Thanks. I had a quick look. I really didn't expect this problem to be so big. What's going on here?!?! Is there some campaign to mislead viewers on Buddhism here? Anyway, I will try to see what I can do later when I get more time. Seems much bigger issue than I anticipated - Imcdc Contact 15:33, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Arjayay Lets just use your page to keep track of things. I have added a few more IPs to it. Seems this is a coordinated move by both India and Bangladesh IPs. Can't believe these changes were allowed to persist for months. Might need to have a large clean up of all this mess. Also do you think we need to report a sockpuppet case? I have a feeling it could be the same user that was previously blocked. Imcdc Contact 03:12, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the additions to the list, although I'm not sure about the 122.182 IP, it's the only one to edit that article, and the phraseology is totally different. As for an SPI, what would you ask to be investigated? There is a reluctance to associate accounts with IPs, and the only IP to have edited recently is currently blocked for 2 weeks. - Arjayay (talk) 08:55, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
- Ok in that case maybe leave SPI alone in that case. The 122.182 does have different phrasing. Maybe its a different user but at the same time, it is also making disruptive edits related to buddhism and its also quite recent so its probably worth keeping an eye out. - @Arjayay
- Got a question 103.205.36.8 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) has been making disruptive edits on Religion in China. Another Bangladesh IP which is recorded on your page. I wanna ask since it starts with 103.205 rather 103.137, could this be the user as the blocked IP that is currently ban evading? Do we have a case for suggesting range ban to include this address too? Imcdc Contact 09:13, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
- I saw your addition of IP:103.137.161.68 to the list and reported them for block evasion - The range 103.137.161.0/24 has now been blocked for a week. As for the 103.205.36.8 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) editor - that IP was already listed - you could ask for a block evasion ban, but it might be better to wait for another edit to be made after the rangeblock was imposed. Up to you - Arjayay (talk) 11:18, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Arjayay I have added User:Rohanganvir20 to your list. Do you think its a sockpuppet of User:Joseph Chakma? I find it an odd coincidence that both accounts just so happened to be created on the same week, edit in the same month, cover the same topics related to Buddhism and both were inactive until just yesterday where they suddenly had activity on the same day. Imcdc Contact 07:37, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
- Imcdc, I agree there seems to be a high degree of correlation in the dates, however, they have never edited the same article, so they may be being careful, or clever. As your last post will have notified ("pinged") User:Rohanganvir20 (and User:Joseph Chakma} of this discussion, I suspect that, if there is a connection, they are unlikely to continue. You could take it to SPI, based on the date and subject matter correlation; if you wish to do that, I would do so fairly soon, before an admin considers it "stale". - Arjayay (talk) 14:36, 19 April 2025 (UTC)

Page protection?
[edit]I didn't expect to be dealing with this issue for a long time yet here I am. Users just don't stop. I have opened a talk page to keep discussions here.
I have added IP 103.161.199.36 to the list. I find it odd that it looks similar to the Bangladesh proxies yet its location is in India. Is this normal?
I'm also considering if I need to request page protection for some of these pages. Its getting sort of annoying. Do you think we can ask for it yet? Imcdc Contact 05:20, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
