Social democracy lead
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia! Just to let you know that there's an open discussion about whether and how to rewrite the introduction to this article at Talk:Social democracy#RFC: Socialism & Lede, if you want to contribute. Since it's the subject of a live discussion right now, I've reverted your edit to the text. Belbury (talk) 13:45, 5 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for welcoming me. However, I must respectfully disagree with Wikipedia's current definition of social democracy, as it primarily reflects early Marxist social democrats rather than modern social democrats. It's essential to distinguish between classical social democracy and modern social democracy. AnAnonymousUser222 (talk) 13:55, 5 November 2025 (UTC)
- Several other people have respectfully disagreed with it, in different ways. There's an open discussion on the talk page which you're welcome to join.
- I noticed afterwards that the discussion has actually been open for a whole year, I misread it as a few weeks. So I've asked that somebody take a look at reviewing the feedback to see if a verdict can be reached. Belbury (talk) 14:12, 5 November 2025 (UTC)
